The number of people missing after Texas’ catastrophic July 4 flooding has dropped from 160 to three, officials in Kerr County announced, as search efforts enter their third week.

The flooding killed at least 135 people, including 107 in Kerr County, with children among the victims at a summer camp along the Guadalupe River.

Many initially reported missing have since been confirmed safe.

A special legislative session will begin Monday to address the disaster, with a hearing planned in Kerr County on July 31, Axios has reported.

Experts say climate change likely intensified the extreme rainfall that caused the flooding.
