The Druze Massacre Nobody Cared About Until Israel Stepped In
The recent massacre of the Druze community in Syria and the world’s muted response shine a harsh light on the double standards of global outrage. When Israel intervened to protect this vulnerable minority, attention instantly shifted from the humanitarian crisis to criticism of Israel’s actions. Why does outrage so often depend on who is involved, rather than on the victims themselves?
This pattern repeats elsewhere: religious sites destroyed and minorities persecuted often go unremarked, while Israel’s actions are relentlessly scrutinized. When saving lives becomes controversial simply because of who is helping, it’s time to confront the uncomfortable persistence of selective outrage and anti-Semitism.
