Summer railfanning on the Hudson Line around Putnam County! Featuring heritage units & P42's!

Recorded July 2025. I made a realization that William has never railfanned the Hudson Line north of Croton-Harmon before and once I realized that, I had to drag him out to a few spots! I took him to the two most popular spots on the Northern Hudson Line which were Manitou and Cold Spring. We initially talked about checking out either the Cold Spring Depot or restaurant at the Stratford Station on the New Haven Line as a railfanning dinner spot. Since Cold Spring isn't that far from me, it was a perfect opportunity to bring William out to some never before seen (in person) territory for him! The horns on the diesel trains sound so much better than they do in the winter time. Comment below if you know the reason why. The Cold Spring Depot Restaurant was definitely a treat!
