Are you just starting out your instrument rating training? I know I sure am. There’s a lot that goes into it (and I mean A LOT), and one of them is all this nonsense on how to enter a holding pattern. Do you use the parallel entry? The Teardrop entry? The direct entry? What does all that even mean? What is the meaning of life? Who knows?

Anyway, I may not know very much about instrument flying as of yet, but I wanted to make this little video to create a visual learning aid for myself and for those of you who may find it useful just to see what all this holding pattern nonsense is all about.
