Filling Out An Encounter Template - Overland Fantasy Encounter

Last week, I said we’d fill out an Encounter Adventure Template. Here we are, on Saturday, making sure that we’re keeping that promise. I reached out to 3 different gaming groups of mine to get simple prompts. An adventure genre, a location for the encounter, an NPC I had to include, and something else they wanted to see in the encounter. Then I sat down and gave myself 15 minutes to fill out an encounter template. I did it in 14 minutes. This video goes over the twists and turns I took filling out the encounter template, and I really want to run this encounter. We still need to decide the RPG system, create stat blocks, and the ultimate end question: Which undead to throw at the adventuring party.
