30 people hurt in East Hollywood after vehicle drives into crowd

Seven people are in critical condition and at least 23 others were injured after a driver plowed into a crowd outside an East Hollywood nightclub in what's believed to have been an intentional act early Saturday morning.

The incident was reported at about 2 a.m. near the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Vermont Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department said. There, a driver struck a food vending cart and a large group of people outside a club, according to Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Adam VanGerpen.
