Capital, his employer, so that they fire him.

Shaun has been an extremely important voice on Israel and other political issues while being a superb venture capitalist. That combination is uncommon, not because there aren’t other great VCs.

Unfortunately, the most successful business people rarely choose to voice their views on important political and societal issues.

VCs and other business people have a very good understanding of risk and reward, and the risk to speaking up versus the personal rewards for doing so is highly unfavorable so a lot of speech that would benefit the conversation and society is squelched.
