Couple Meets Karma After Failed Hit-And-Run

While on patrol, officers responded to a report of two people sleeping in a suspicious, damaged car. When approached, the car fled, later crashing into another vehicle with children inside. The suspects, Gopal (27) and Chelena (29), fled on foot, prompting a police chase involving a helicopter and K9 unit. Gopal claimed to be under the influence, while Chelena eventually confessed to driving the stolen vehicle, which was linked to a homicide case. She was charged with multiple offenses including DUI, obstruction, and hit-and-run.
