Aussiecams - Driver exits vehicle and confronts driver over road rule that confuses many! VIC

Reposting as the dc vehicle (van) has provided an update.
As reported by truck driver: Shortly after the incident, was charged with 5 driving offences. He was facing up to a maximum of 15yrs jail if convicted of each offence.
Dandenong police considered a reduction of a few charges if the dc vehicle driver pleaded guilty prior to the court case. Dc driver refused to plead guilty.
Ringwood local court reviewed the case prior to trial and dropped all charges against driver.
Dc truck driver now considering further legal options.
It is unknown if the driver that exited his vehicle and confronted van driver sustained any long term injury from the incident.

*This road rule relating to merging is probably the most misunderstood rule and who has to give way to who. Zip merge or end of lane merge? Which one is in the video...
