I played both Crosswind and Skull and Bones this weekend — and honestly, I’m still thinking about Crosswind. It’s raw, it’s open-world, and it doesn’t hold your hand. You explore, craft, sail, die, and learn. And the best part? I just heard through the grapevine this might be free-to-play when it launches.

Not bad for an indie survival game that already feels better than a AAA pirate sim.
