Syria and Israel truth

Saif al-Din Kamil Abdul Karim Musalat, also known as Sayfollah Musallet or simply Saif, a 20-year-old Palestinian American from Tampa, Florida, was killed on July 11, 2025, in the West Bank village of Sinjil, north of Ramallah. According to the Palestinian Authority’s health ministry and his family, Saif was beaten to death by Israeli settlers during a violent clash. His family stated he was protecting their farmland from settlers attempting to establish an illegal outpost. They alleged that settlers blocked an ambulance from reaching him for over three hours, preventing medical aid, and he died before reaching a hospital. A second Palestinian, Mohammed Rizq Hussein al-Shalabi, 23, was also killed in the same incident, reportedly shot by settlers and left to bleed for hours.

The Israeli military and police described the incident as a confrontation sparked by Palestinians throwing rocks at Israeli civilians, lightly injuring two, followed by settler violence, including vandalism and stone-throwing. The IDF said it dispatched forces to disperse the clash using non-lethal means and is investigating the incident. Six individuals, including two settlers and an IDF reservist, were arrested, but no murder suspects have been identified, and two minors were released to house arrest. The lack of a formal complaint, autopsy, or access to Musalat’s body has hindered the investigation, with Israeli police relying on media reports.

Saif’s family, devastated by his death, described him as a kind, hard-working individual who ran an ice cream shop in Tampa and was deeply connected to his Palestinian heritage. They have demanded a U.S. State Department investigation, calling the killing an “unimaginable nightmare and injustice.” U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee labeled the killing a “criminal and terrorist act” and urged Israel to investigate aggressively, while U.S. officials confirmed the death but referred investigative questions to Israel. Rights groups, like the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC), condemned the attack as part of a pattern of settler violence, noting 955 Palestinian deaths in the West Bank since October 2023.

The incident has drawn international attention, with the UN and rights advocates highlighting a surge in settler attacks, often with impunity. Saif’s funeral on July 13, 2025, in Al-Mazra’ah ash-Sharqiyah saw hundreds mourning, reflecting community outrage over the lack of accountability. Critics, including Palestinian human rights advocate Issa Amro, described the killing as part of a broader strategy of “settler terror” to displace Palestinians, while Israeli officials, like the Binyamin Regional Council, claimed Palestinians initiated the violence.
