If you ever see a shark in the ocean, the worst thing you could do would be to run away from it. Running from a shark triggers a predatory response in them and makes them feel like you are prey. If you stand your ground, make eye contact, and remain calm, this will drastically reduce your chances of continuing to get approached by the shark. If you absolutely needed to as a last resort if the shark is too close, you can firmly place your hand on top of the shark’s head and guide them away from you. These are all tips in the case you unexpectedly encounter a shark while diving or snorkeling, please do not seek these types of interactions with sharks without a professional guide. *This video is done as a demonstration by a professional, please do not attempt*
