In 1984, we didn’t have the people to fill the jobs and they started coming across the border. In the home builders industry there are a lot of immigrants. When it takes 5 to 10 years to build back the workers to build the homes. The top builder in the US closed 90k homes last year. Build 10 million homes? You can’t build it especially when you send them all home. These big builders go from 90K to 65K without the workers and the homes will go from 100 to 140 days to build.
We need to get our kids back into the field to become electricians, plumbers, drywall hangers, brick layers. These kids have to have a strong back and be willing to do the work.
You need to be prepared to hit the stop sign and pay more money and do what it takes to hit the gas pedal again.
