Day 199: The End of All Things — Ecclesiastes 10–12 | Bible In A Year (CSB)

As Ecclesiastes concludes, the Teacher warns against folly, reflects on the unpredictability of life, and urges the reader to remember their Creator before the days of trouble come. The final chapter brings a powerful resolution: fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of humanity.

Questions:
1. Ecclesiastes 12:1 urges us to “remember your Creator in the days of your youth.” What does it practically look like to remember God throughout different seasons of life?

2. How does the final statement—“For God will bring every deed into judgment” (12:14)—shape your understanding of accountability and purpose in life?

3. In a book filled with honest reflection on vanity and mortality, why do you think the fear of the Lord is presented as the ultimate conclusion? How does that tie together the message of the whole book?
