Russia warns Trump it does "not accept threats" following US ceasefire ultimatum

Russia's foreign ministry said Thursday it would "not accept threats" following an ultimatum from U.S. President Donald Trump that Moscow agree to a ceasefire in Ukraine or face sanctions.

Trump announced a tougher stance on Russia Monday over its ongoing war against Ukraine, promising a fresh wave of missiles and other weapons for Kyiv.

Maria Zakharova, a spokesperson for the foreign ministry said Trump's decision to supply Ukraine with new missiles was a signal to "continue the slaughter" and a rejection of peace initiatives.
