While the conflict in Ukraine heats up, Western media have been pushing out stories that have no bearing on reality. 36,000 Ukrainian women are said to be fighting on the front lines. They are not. The Ukrainian Katniss posing for Instagram with an airsoft pistol notwithstanding, it is almost exclusively men who are doing the fighting, and the dying, as always in real armed conflicts.
