The EU Commission is pushing for a 90% reduction in emissions by 2040. This is not just a technical adjustment. It is a complete overhaul of our way of life, our energy production, our heating, our agriculture and our transportation of goods.

But what are the actual costs?

Independent studies and even parts of the EU's own impact assessment indicate that an average household will have to calculate with up to €400 more per year for energy and transportation costs alone.

This does not even take into account the costs of new heating systems, electric cars and higher food prices - caused by the displacement of farmers due to over-regulation.

Once again, the ENVI Committee failed to provide me with an answer. But instead, a clown appeared in the arena.
