The WEF's Nita Farahany excitedly describes how developments in neuroscience and psychology have enabled the planting of "false memories in the brain", as well as the ability to instil pain for use in "coercive measures".

"Once we understand the circuitries that cause pain, I guess the question is, could we then instil pain and use that in many coercive measures, and the legal system as well?"
