More studios within the gaming industry are layoff workers despite successful releases due to bloated budgets.

It’s now being reported even developers that do a good job don’t have job security in the current environment of AAA releases. Blooming budget have made it so all but runaway hits fail to recoup the cost to produce these titles. Many studio heads are starting to turn to generative AI to help reduce budget by replacing workers with smaller teams creating AI prompts. Other games like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 have shown games can be created without all of that bloat and for relatively cheap. The future of games is going to be major releases created through AI, or AA titles made from small teams.
