Nina Swann is mourning the sudden death of her husband Paddy when she receives condolences from a guy called Nick Radcliffe , one of Paddy's old friends from his early career. Soon Nick and Nina are an item - Nina notices that Nick disappears for days sometimes but always has an excuse for his absence. Another lady called Martha is also noting that her husband Al also disappears for days and always has an excuse for his absence.
This is the tale of a con man/philanderer who uses vulnerable women for financial gain. Can he continue with his antics or will he be found out ?
If they knew then what they know now - "Don't Let Him In" would be appropriate !
A good psychological thriller from Lisa Jewell !
