This is what church used to be, before the worship team, before the musical talent, before the ushers, before those who bear the offering plates.

Just you meeting with God through the anointed simple preaching (proclaiming God’s Word) by a man of simple means.

Powerful words because these words are deeply pungent with the power of the Holy Spirit; because the preacher practices what he preaches.

That’s what gives power to anyone’s words, the Holy Spirit. I loved the part when he said the Holy Spirit is always pointing to the Son and the Son to the Father.

You and I have an Advocate with the Father. The Judge Advocate of all Huemanity who loves every splinter of himself.

It would not surprise me if the Creator of All is gratified by all the Love we give in spite of, in the face of hate.

He sent us out, as his emissaries, as his ambassadors, as his representatives of Love, of Help, of Gifts to others as opportunity and resources allow.

If you need more resources ask God who loves a cheerful giver. Have you ever asked God for resources to give to others.

Have you any idea how easy it is to ask for others. I have asked God for $250,000 and received $274,00 for others. Yes we kept our lights and 25 full-time employees going for another year.

I ask for one of my donors would give a million dollars. I could not tell you before hand who it might be.

A donor who I had never met with but wrote to him at least monthly. I dropped off a story I had written about one of our programs. Dropping them off by his place of business with information he maybe interested in.

A terrible storm hit the Philippines, in an area from which a large majority of workforce were from.

I wasn’t sure the size of gift but I knew it was going to be significant.

He requested local budgets and actual income and expenses reports. Having dealt with budgets and expense reports, I knew exactly where they were located on the Divisional Headquarters computers.

The next thing I heard was from my boss who asked me if I was working on a million dollar gift. I said I knew it was going to significant but I wasn’t sure of the amount.

I asked my boss how he knew it was a million dollars. He says, because he got a call from a banker he knew who preparing paperwork for a gift for one million to The Salvation Army.

Maybe I asked for the wrong reasons, but God was glorified when people were helped by a gift to assist hurricane victims in the Philippines.

I also as had crazy questions, like how come The Salvation Army wasn’t in Haiti?

Now we all know what a Satanic Hell Hole all of these South Atlantic island countries were and are because of trafficking.

May God bless them and return to them what the canker worm has eaten.
