FAQs

Q: If ACME supports our team through a Friends of NRA (FNRA) grant, can that donation also be matched by the MidwayUSA Foundation if we deposit it into our endowment account?

A: Great question! While ACME is proud to support the efforts of FNRA and help teams pursue grants, whether or not those funds can be submitted to your MidwayUSA Foundation endowment for matching is ultimately determined by FNRA’s grant guidelines. We recommend checking with FNRA or your local NRA Field Representative to confirm if your grant qualifies for endowment deposit and matching opportunities.

Q: Does our team need to be a 501(c)(3) to start a MidwayUSA Foundation endowment?

A: Not necessarily. Your team does not have to be a 501(c)(3), but you do need to be a registered nonprofit organization to open an endowment. The exception is for school-affiliated teams — they can qualify without being a registered nonprofit, as long as they are officially recognized by the school.
