Cyril Prabhu was a senior vice president for Bank of America where he developed integrated business and technology strategies and solutions for nearly 25 years.

Raised by a single mom in a nation where divorce was practically unheard of, Cyril overcame his
hardships with the loving help of family, friends and perfect strangers. As he embraced circumstances over which he had no control, favor surrounded him and people rallied to his aid.

Ecstatic after relocating his family from India to California. He soon fell victim to a senseless crime that jolted his image of the promised land. But rather than become bitter, he was inspired to establish the Proverbs226; an evidence based non-profit committed to healing families affected by parental incarceration.

Proverbs226 is working towards breaking the cycle of generational incarceration and awakening the potential within each child by empowering them to pursue a sustainable career.

Today, over 17,000 children participate in the program which operates in 24 prisons in North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and South Dakota, with access to 220 prisons.

Cyril was able to convert a closed down prison into 5&2 Trade School, first of its kind in the US. Over the last 12 years, 110 children attend college through Proverbs226 Scholarship, and it continues to grow.
