Michigan’s UP Delivers Again – First Rainbow Trout, Big Perch & Forest Surf and Turf

We’re back in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula — boondocking deep in the beautiful Hiawatha National Forest. In this episode, we settle into a remote forest camp, hit the ORV trails, and spend some time fishing forest ponds. A few nice perch show up early, but the real highlight? My first-ever rainbow trout, caught just before we fry up a butter-drenched surf and turf feast featuring that perch, fresh trout and a juicy ribeye!

Plus, we come across a snapping turtle in need of a little roadside assistance, proving that the backroads always bring unexpected moments.
