I always loved the little intros the bosses get, along with their own subtitles.

Like the dungeon, the first boss Queen Gohma tests your skill with the dungeon treasure (the sling shot), and teach you something about boss battles. If you paid attention to one of the deku scrubs, you'll know that deku nuts are also a viable option to speed up the fight. This additional means of stunning Gohma further communicates to the player that they should try out different items during fights to see how they effect different bosses and enemies. While you probably don't consciously think this while you play, your brain understands this intuitive design and subconsciously preps you for future battles where you must think creatively.
