Arrow of Truth – A Prophetic Blues Song Cry from Psalm 7

🎵 Arrow of Truth" is a prophetic blues-rock lament born straight from the fire of Psalm 7. This song cries out for divine justice in a world where the wicked hunt the innocent and deception roams free. David’s ancient words become a modern battle cry as we confront betrayal, injustice, and spiritual warfare—not with vengeance, but with faith in the righteous Judge who sees all and repays justly.

Psalm 7 is more than a prayer—it's a courtroom scene in the heavenlies, where God weighs every motive, tests the heart, and prepares His flaming arrows for judgment. This song pulls no punches. It gives voice to the oppressed while glorifying the One who never lets evil have the last word.

If you’ve ever been falsely accused, chased by enemies, or wrestled with injustice—this is your song. A gritty, fearless anthem of trust in Yahweh Most High.

📖 Psalm 7 (WEB):
A meditation by David, which he sang to Yahweh, concerning the words of Cush, the Benjamite.

1 Yahweh, my God, I take refuge in you.
Save me from all those who pursue me, and deliver me,
2 lest they tear apart my soul like a lion,
ripping it in pieces, while there is no one to deliver.

3 Yahweh, my God, if I have done this,
if there is iniquity in my hands,
4 if I have rewarded evil to him who was at peace with me
(yes, if I have delivered him who without cause was my adversary),
5 let the enemy pursue my soul, and overtake it;
yes, let him tread my life down to the earth,
and lay my glory in the dust. Selah.

6 Arise, Yahweh, in your anger.
Lift up yourself against the rage of my adversaries.
Awake for me. You have commanded judgment.
7 Let the congregation of the peoples surround you.
Rule over them on high.
8 Yahweh administers judgment to the peoples.
Judge me, Yahweh, according to my righteousness,
and to my integrity that is in me.

9 Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end,
but establish the righteous;
their minds and hearts are searched by the righteous God.
10 My shield is with God,
who saves the upright in heart.

11 God is a righteous judge,
yes, a God who has indignation every day.
12 If a man doesn’t relent, he will sharpen his sword;
he has bent and strung his bow.
13 He has also prepared for himself the instruments of death.
He makes ready his flaming arrows.

14 Behold, he travails with iniquity.
Yes, he has conceived mischief,
and brought out falsehood.
15 He has dug a hole,
and has fallen into the pit which he made.
16 The trouble he causes shall return to his own head.
His violence shall come down on the crown of his own head.

17 I will give thanks to Yahweh according to his righteousness,
and will sing praise to the name of Yahweh Most High.

🎵 Lyrics – "Arrow of Truth"

[Verse 1]
I cried to Yahweh, my God,
"Save me from the lion's jaw."
No one else could pull me free—
They were tearing at my soul, raw.

I said, “If I’ve done this wrong,
Let my enemy run me down.
Let him grind me into dust,
Let my glory sink in the ground.”

[Chorus]
But I know You search the heart,
Righteous fire in Your eyes.
You draw Your bow, You test the mind—
You see through every lie.
Your sword is sharp, Your aim is sure—
You don't miss in the night.
You shoot the arrow of truth,
Straight into the dark with light.

[Verse 2]
They dig a pit for someone else,
But fall in it themselves.
Their violence boomerangs back
From heaven's holy shelves.

“He makes ready his flaming arrows,”
Judgment in His hands.
“The trouble he causes returns to his head,”
Like waves that crush the sand.

[Bridge]
God is not sleeping,
No, He’s a righteous judge.
He don’t play favorites—
Every heart’s weighed in blood.
You think He ain’t watching?
Better read that line again:
“God is a righteous judge,
Yes, a God who has indignation every day.”

[Chorus]
Yes, He shoots the arrow of truth,
It don’t tremble, it don’t miss.
It splits the lies wide open,
Like thunder with a kiss.
He saves the upright in heart,
He knows who walks the line.
And I will sing to Yahweh Most High—
His justice will shine.

[Outro]
So rise up, Lord, in Your anger,
Let the wicked fall.
But shelter the broken,
You remember them all.
I’ll give thanks to Yahweh,
With the song in my chest—
To the name of the Most High,
To the One who knows best.
