YouTube is Making BILLIONS Showing Ads on Videos That Violate Their Copyright Rules

A recent report suggests YouTube is knowingly profiting off of pirated videos on the site and are hiding this from advertisers.

Officially YouTube is supposed to ban accounts that knowingly violate copyright laws, but some are accusing the site of not doing enough, or dragging their feet on it because of the amount of money they are able to make themselves. Advertisers pay not only for their videos to be shown, but for premium placement. It’s alleged YouTube places premium ads in front of pirated video and uses broad terms in YouTube’s back end to disguise where the ad is being shown. When questioned YouTube has offered lesser credit to the advertisers, but no refund even if the video was removed. All the while YouTube takes a cut.
