Episode 980: What is the difference between the goodness and blessing of God?

Hello everyone. In tonight's Bible study we continue reviewing the letter that the Lord sent to the church at Smyrna.

The general message to the church is that they understand that Jesus isn't just a man but that He is God and as God have the power over death. Jesus was declaring that it is He who determines who lives and who dies both physically and spiritually.

Jesus said this to a church whose members were being persecuted, ostracized, and murdered.

The Lord proclaimed that He knew their works, meaning the intents behind what they were doing and because of that He wanted them to know the truth about their situation.

The Lord reveals to them that He knows about their physical poverty which came as a result of the persecution. Yet they were rich. Rich? Yes. How so?

The believer is rich in all the things that the scriptures declare we have from God. These are not tangible but spiritual. These are of far greater value than the riches of this world which are tangible yet temporary.

What are these riches? Are they listed in the Bible? If they are, where can I find them?

The answer to your question is yes, they are all listed in the Bible and I list them in during the study.
