Justin Peters was having a discussion online about the ministry of John MacArthur because it was announced yesterday that he is gravely ill. Then Andy Stanley joined the discussion. I posted a comment that John Mac Arthur would tell both Andy Stanley and Beth Moore to “go home”. John Mac Arthur quote to Beth Moore set the Christian world on fire in which he was clearly saying that woman shouldn’t be Pastor or preachers. Andy Stanley response to my comments to my surprise to. Andy Stanley said this about his father Charles Stanley: “My dad gave his heart to Jesus as a young boy on a Sunday morning at a Pentecostal church at the end of a sermon delivered by a female pastor. He shared that story publicly on multiple occasion”. So it seems that Andy Stanley was trying to advocate for woman pastors. Justin Peters quickly clapped back letting Andy know that his fathers conversion shouldn’t be a confirmation for woman pastors but for the power of the gospel. I state that woman are not called to be senior leaders in the body of Christ which means: elders or Pastors. Although men and woman have equal value in the sight of God they do not have equal roles. Eldership is reserved for those who meet the requirements set forth in 1 Timothy 3. I end the video with Derek Prince thoughts on the matter because many consider him to one of the fathers of the modern day charismatic movement. Derek Prince was a Greek scholar and a good bible teacher. Derek Prince states that woman cannot be pastors but they can be prophets and evangelists. Derek Prince states that woman cannot be Pastor because it involves governmental authority.
