The Mayor has openly stated that the public will have no say.
And not one Councillor has stood beside me to challenge it.
And they’ve shut down the only person fighting back — me.
I was locked out of the key meeting. I was denied the documents. I was cut out of the process.
Why? Because I’ve opposed this from the start.
This isn’t just about electricity. It’s about control.
It’s about democracy. It’s about whether the people of Pickering still have a voice.
I’m calling for three non-negotiables before any sale is even considered:
1. Public consultation
2. Independent financial analysis and
3. A public referendum
If you stay silent, they will take what you own and sell it without ever asking you.
