His name is Sergeant Karl Wolfe and was around for another 17 years after his 2001 interview. He was discredited so noone believed him.
Karl Wolfe was a former U.S. Air Force precision electronics technician who worked with Tactical Air Command at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia during the 1960s. His job involved working with high-security photographic surveillance systems.

In 1965, Wolfe was called in to assist with a malfunctioning piece of equipment used to process images from NASA’s Lunar Orbiter program, which was mapping the Moon’s surface ahead of the Apollo missions. He was taken to a covert facility run by the National Security Agency (NSA).

While there, an unnamed colleague confided in him and showed him photographs of a structure on the dark side of the Moon — what appeared to be a man-made base, including geometric buildings, towers, and machinery. Wolfe said he was shocked and realized that this was highly classified material, well beyond the public knowledge of the time.

Wolfe stayed quiet for decades but eventually came forward during the 2001 Disclosure Project press conference, led by Dr. Steven Greer, where he publicly disclosed what he saw and experienced. He described the structures as “advanced and clearly artificial,” and believed they were extraterrestrial in origin.

Tragically, Karl Wolfe died in 2018 in a bicycle accident in New York — a death that some find suspicious, given his role as a whistleblower.
