In my analysis, I have the impression that this would have preferred being born as a "white" European rather than as a pale-skinned Puerto Rican. Many people in countries with a colonial history, in which everything that was "white," were automatically artificially elevated in all questionable ways, solely to cultivate a sense of inferiority and a complexion in the human subjects of the occupied country. This very damaging implementation was a very successful social engineering exercise, and to this day, its negative consequences continue to have a very effective impact on all levels of the population around the world. Others bleach their skin color, while still others surgically alter the shape of their noses and eyes. African Americans waste a fortune on wigs and fake hair. Everyone is infected by this divide and conquer strategy, which is still being applied, but only in a different costume.
