We are witnessing the slow demise of the American Century, a process accelerating as the US and its dollar become less relevant to the members and partners of BRICS. Although I am an Australian by citizenship, I am a permanent resident of Jawa Tengah, Indonesia. In a very small way, I believe I am on the right side of history. If my birth country does not move closer to Indonesia, ASEAN, China and BRICS, it will suffer economically. None of the countries and groups listed above threatens Australia militarily. 2022 had a different macro environment. Back then we were dealing with supply chain issues, stimulus checks, and ppp loans which help accelerate inflation. We don’t have that in this environment. We have ai growth expected to grow rapidly in a couple of years and replace some entry level jobs in a couple of years which may offset wage inflation in certain areas in the workforce. Trump is trying to recreate the same growth setup, but now we don’t have the same inflationary pressures
