The Audio Files Ep. 20: Cocoa Beach: Space Age Beach Songs
Badlands Media
Brad Zerbo and Jaytriot close out The Audio Files season with a cinematic tribute to Cocoa Beach, the home of rockets, surfboards, and the Great American Restoration Tour. Broadcasting from the edge of liftoff, the duo blends 60 years of beach and space-inspired music, from Frankie Avalon’s Beach Blanket Bingo to Bowie’s Space Oddity and Flock of Seagulls’ Space Age Love Song. They trace the strange but beautiful collision of 1960s surf culture and NASA’s space program, weaving in punk, new wave, and glam rock detours along the way. Between stories of CanCon’s “spacey” beach party, Brad’s Jersey Shore nostalgia, and Jay’s Ace Frehley memories, this episode feels like a warm night by the ocean, equal parts nostalgia, laughter, and heart. The finale ends on a high note with Sinatra’s timeless Fly Me to the Moon, a song once played aboard Apollo 11 and now closing out the pre-GART celebration with style and soul.

Runnin Down A Dream American Girl Tom Petty
Psychological operations
Runnin' Down A Dream Album: Full Moon Fever (1989)
American Girl Album: Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers (1977)
by Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers
In Runnin' Down A Dream Tom Petty sings about driving into the great wide open, with nothing but glorious possibility in his path.
Petty started running down his dream of being a rocker in 1961 when he met Elvis Presley. Petty, 11 years old, came to the Ocala, Florida, set where Elvis was working on the film Follow That Dream - a title Tom took to heart. In a brief encounter, Petty saw how Elvis captivated onlookers and made the girls go crazy. Petty became fascinated with Elvis and set out to follow his path.
The animated video was inspired by a comic strip called Little Nemo In Slumberland by Winsor McKay. Each strip told the story of one of Nemo's dreams, and at the end, he always woke up.
Full Moon Fever was listed as a Tom Petty solo album even though members of The Heartbreakers played on it. Petty had another band at this time as well: the Traveling Wilburys, which included Jeff Lynne, who co-produced the album and played many of the instruments.
Heartbreakers' guitarist Mike Campbell wrote this with Petty and Jeff Lynne. The three of them worked on the album at Campbell's house.
Petty and Campbell were very impressed with Lynne's production techniques, and learned a lot from the experience. Campbell gave an example of Lynne's style: "We'd put the mics up on the drums, and he'd walk out and take the microphone over the drum and he'd turn it away from the drum facing the corner, and he'd go 'OK, record it like that.' Sure enough, 99% of the time he'd be right. We'd go, 'Yes sir, Mr. Lynne.' We learned so much from him about arrangements and countermelodies and all kinds of stuff."
The line, "Me and Del were singin,' little 'Runaway'" is a reference to the 1961 Del Shannon hit "Runaway." Shannon is credited on the album for "barnyard noises," which can be heard just after this song ends on the album. Under the animal noises, Petty says, "Hello CD listeners. We have come to the point in this album where those listening on cassettes or records will have to stand - up or sit down - and turn over the record or tape. In fairness to those listeners, we will now take a few seconds before we begin Side 2. Thank you, and here is Side 2."
Those noises were made by Shannon and Jeff Lynne; Petty used them as an interlude to mark the middle of the album, because you don't have to flip over a CD. This section was included only on CD versions of Full Moon Fever, but survived the transition when the album was released digitally.
In 2007, the documentary Runnin' Down A Dream was released. Directed by Peter Bogdanovich, the film chronicles the career of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers played Runnin' Down A Dream at the halftime show of the Super Bowl in 2008. Rather than the usual medley of hits, the band played four full songs, the others being "American Girl," "I Won't Back Down" and "Free Fallin'."
The song is used in the 2004 video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, where it shows up on the radio station K-DST. In 2023, another Full Moon Fever track, "Love Is A Long Road," soundtracked the trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI.
A track from the first Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers album, "American Girl" was never a hit, but it became one of their most popular songs. Part of its lasting appeal is its intrigue, as it is the subject of an urban myth that reads as follows:
The University of Florida is located in Petty's hometown of Gainesville, Florida. A dorm at the school, Beatty Towers, provided the backdrop to a popular urban legend at UF as well as the story behind "American Girl". The story was that there was this virginal, All-American, debutante sort of girl, blonde locks and all, who decided to take hallucinogens for the first time while in her room at Beatty Towers. This being the 1960's and the age of limitless possibilities, it was pretty common to do something like that, especially in a college setting. Apparently, the girl thought she could fly, so she exited through the window and arrived face first on the concrete below. Some modern minstrels like to add that she jumped from the 13th floor, but this is probably part of campus lore. This incident was a big deal in Gainesville, which was still a picturesque Southern college town. It represented the end of innocence experienced by baby-boomers during the 1970's. Using it as inspiration, Tom Petty wove a captivating and poignant song based on this story for his first album and the rest is history. Expanding on the concept of innocence lost, this song speaks volumes and resonates even today. Beatty Towers are by State Road 441, which is mentioned in the second verse.
Tom Petty said of American Girl: "I wrote that in a little apartment I had in Encino. It was right next to the freeway and the cars sometimes sounded like waves from the ocean, which is why there's the line about the waves crashing on the beach. The words just came tumbling out very quickly - and it was the start of writing about people who are longing for something else in life, something better than they have."
Mike Campbell has been The Heartbreakers' guitarist since they formed the band. Here's what he told us about this song: "We used to have people come up to us and tell us they thought it was about suicide because of the one line about 'if she had to die,' but what they didn't get was, the whole line is 'if she had to die trying.' Some people take it literally and out of context. To me it's just a really beautiful love song. It does have some Florida imagery."
In our interview with Mike Campbell, he said: "We cut that track on the 4th of July. I don't know if that had anything to do with Tom writing it about an American girl."
Roger McGuinn recorded this on his 1977 album Thunderbyrd. McGuinn was a member of The Byrds and a big influence on Petty. He once joked that this number was a Byrds song he'd forgotten. Petty told Mojo magazine January 2010: "'American Girl' doesn't really sound like The Byrds; it evokes The Byrds. People are usually influenced by more than one thing, so your music becomes a mixture. There's nothing really new, but always new ways to combine things. We tried to play as good as whoever we admired but never could."
Even though Petty and his band were from the US, this caught on in England long before it got any attention in America. As a result, Petty started his first big tour in the UK, where this was a bigger hit.
This was featured in the 1991 movie Silence Of The Lambs. It was used in a scene where a female character is listening to it in a car before she meets Buffalo Bill, a serial killer who abducts her.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers opened their Live Aid set in Philadelphia with "American Girl." At one point in the song, Petty gives a little smile and flips off someone in the crowd. The concert was broadcast live to an audience of millions, so this was certainly one of the most-seen one-finger salutes in history.
The Goo Goo Dolls played this at the 2001 "Concert For New York," a benefit show organized by Paul McCartney. Classic rockers like The Who and David Bowie were big hits among the crowd of police officers and firefighters, and they responded very well when The Goo Goo Dolls played this.
Petty gave his reaction to the performance: "I was watching the 9/11 concert in New York and the Goo Goo Dolls played 'American Girl.' I could see the crowd cheering in this really patriotic context. But it was just a story when I wrote it. In my mind, the girl was looking for the strength to move on, and she found it. It's one of my favorites."
Petty credits their producer, Denny Cordell, with helping him understand the importance of crafting a story in the lyrics to American Girl. Petty says Cordell told him, "When you put a little truth in a song, it elevates things."
In the Bob Dylan tradition, Petty doesn't have a typical singing voice, but as heard in American Girl, he writes compelling lyrics that he delivers with conviction.
This song opens the 2004 movie Chasing Liberty. Other films to use the song include Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982) and That's My Boy (2012). Among the TV series that have used it:
Scrubs ("My Own American Girl," 2003)
Cold Case ("Bad Night," 2005)
The Sopranos ("Join the Club," 2006)
Parks and Recreation ("Harvest Festival," 2011)
The Goldbergs ("Shopping," 2013)
Petty and the Heartbreakers played American Girl to open their set at the halftime show of the Super Bowl in 2008.
This was featured in an episode of the TV show Scrubs called "My American Girl."
Petty told Mojo that the girl in this song was not based anyone in particular. "She was a composite, a character who yearned for more than had life had dealt her."
Hillary Clinton used American Girl at her campaign rallies when she was running against Barack Obama for the Democratic nomination. The choice was based solely on the title, as they lyric about desperate longing wasn't the message she was trying to get across.
American Girl was the last song that Tom Petty ever performed. His final gig was at the legendary Hollywood Bowl on September 25, 2017 and the rock veteran closed his set with "American Girl." Petty died a week later at UCLA Santa Monica Hospital on October 2, 2017 following a cardiac arrest.
The Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas admitted to ripping off this song on their 2001 hit "Last Nite." "Good for you," Petty replied, admiring his audacity in admitting it. "It doesn't bother me."
In Francis Ford Coppola's directorial debut film, Dementia 13 (1963), protagonist Louise Haloran (played by Luana Anders) remarks, "Especially an American girl... you can tell she's been raised on promises." Petty never publicly confessed to getting the line from that film, but it would be a mighty strange coincidence if it was by chance.

Blue Foundation - Eyes On Fire
NatalieGWinters
"Eyes on Fire" by Blue Foundation is a mesmerizing dream pop anthem from their 2007 album Life of a Ghost, crafted in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark, during a cold, dark December in 2006.
The video was shot in the nightclub "The Black Hole" in Chelyabinsk, a gritty industrial city in Russia's Ural Mountains region. During the Cold War, Chelyabinsk was a highly secretive "closed city" that didn't appear on official maps due to its role in producing tanks and the Soviet Union's first atomic bomb, adding a layer of atmospheric, post-industrial decay that fits the song's haunting, introspective vibe.
Founded by Tobias Wilner in 1999, Blue Foundation blends atmospheric electronics, shoegaze guitars, and haunting vocals, creating a cinematic sound that’s both intimate and expansive. Wilner, the band’s lead singer, guitarist, and producer, wrote the song’s evocative melody on a 1963 Fender Jaguar in a makeshift loft studio, while former member Kirstine Stubbe Teglbjærg penned its poetic lyrics in a remote Swedish cabin, infusing it with themes of empowerment and defiance against emotional turmoil. Lines like “I’ll seek you out / Flay you alive” and the iconic “hoa hoa” harmonies deliver a raw, ghostly intensity.Recorded with co-producer Bo Rande, the track’s shimmering arpeggios, muted drums, and reverb-drenched vocals capture the Nordic winter’s isolation, evolving from a sparse demo into a lush, 5:33-minute masterpiece. Though born from the band’s DIY struggles, “Eyes on Fire” soared to global fame after its inclusion in the 2008 Twilight soundtrack, amplifying Bella and Edward’s romantic tension and helping the double-platinum album top the Billboard 200. A 2009 Zeds Dead dubstep remix further boosted its reach, with over 170 million YouTube views, while the original has amassed 35 million streams.Based in Copenhagen and Brooklyn’s Prospect Heights since 2008, Blue Foundation—now a core duo of Wilner and Rande—operates their label KON Records and tours globally, delivering immersive live performances with seamless transitions and custom visuals. The song remains a fan favorite, its “hoa hoa season” vibe fueling autumnal playlists and memes. With a new album slated for 2025, “Eyes on Fire” endures as a timeless emblem of Blue Foundation’s cult legacy, blending Nordic melancholy with universal emotion.

The Audio Files Ep. 13: The British Invasion
Badlands Media
Brad Zerbo and Jaytriot dive headfirst into the 1960s British Invasion, tracing how the Beatles’ 1964 debut on The Ed Sullivan Show sparked a cultural explosion. They explore how the mop-top Beatles injected post-JFK-assassination America with joy and charisma, setting the stage for a flood of UK acts. From the Stones’ bluesy swagger and the Who’s proto-punk chaos to the Kinks’ distorted riffs and the Zombies’ haunting grooves, the hosts highlight how British bands reshaped American music while borrowing from U.S. blues and R&B. They dig into stories of staged hysteria, covers that outshone originals, and fights that got the Kinks banned from touring America. Along the way, they spin tracks from the Animals, Manfred Mann, the Yardbirds, and the Spencer Davis Group, tying it all to the seismic shifts in rock history. With personal anecdotes, humor, and even a nod to the “Paul is dead” rabbit hole, this episode captures how the British Invasion forever altered music, culture, and youth identity.

-Formed during World War II, the United States Office of Strategic Services (OSS), was organized for special operations and intelligence gathering and analysis. Included in its mission was the implementation of, and training of foreign forces in, propaganda, espionage, subversion, and sabotage. After the war, OSS functions were transferred to the newly formed Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
This "Simple Sabotage Field Manual" was used by OSS agents in training "citizen-saboteurs" in methods for inciting and executing simple sabotage to thwart industry and other vital functions in Axis-occupied areas.

ENG-Anon: "If" by Rudyard Kipling
Leave The Matrix Behind
Inimitable. This is the word I would use to describe Kipling's poems.
IF by Rudyard Kipling
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with wornout tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on”;
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings—nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run—
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

CHAOS-The Manson Murders (2025), MK-ULTRA and Hollywood
SusieQ4u
Paranoid American
Netflix's documentary called Chaos about Charles Manson is based on a book by Dan Piepenbring and Tom O'Neill that represents decades of research. How close can a 95-minute documentary come to covering a lifetime of research?
In this video we review the series, go over the main points it covers, and look at what it leaves out. We’ll also discuss how accurate the documentary is and why the Manson story continues to get attention.

Anthrax - Sound of White Noise [Full Album] (1993) HD
FullxXxAlbums
Sound of White Noise is the sixth studio album by American heavy metal band Anthrax, released in May 1993 by Elektra Records. It is the band's first album to feature vocalist John Bush, who replaced longtime frontman Joey Belladonna in 1992, and the last studio album with longtime lead guitarist Dan Spitz. It was also the second album Bush worked on with producer Dave Jerden, as he also produced Symbol of Salvation for Bush's previous band, Armored Saint.
Overview
The album, produced by the band and Dave Jerden, includes the singles "Only", "Room for One More", "Black Lodge" and "Hy Pro Glo". This album marked a significant revision in the band's sound, with the departure of lead vocalist Joey Belladonna and the introduction of grunge influences. Jerden was known for producing the likes of Alice in Chains and Jane's Addiction.
With Sound of White Noise, Anthrax moved away from the rapid-fire thrash metal that had defined their earlier output. Their new sound drew on the more straightforward style of Armored Saint (Bush co-wrote all the songs) and often emphasized more melodic songwriting. White Noise continued the trend started on 1990's Persistence of Time of abandoning the humor of Anthrax's 1980s albums in favor of a more serious or earnest tone. Songs like the walloping "Only" and stuttering, stop-start dynamics of "Hy Pro Glo" maintained a level of aggression on par with anything else the band recorded, but in a different alternative metal style. Other songs found Anthrax exploring new territory, like the mid-tempo "Room for One More", and the atmospheric "Black Lodge" (inspired by the Twin Peaks TV series and featuring keyboardist Angelo Badalamenti). Bush's lower-pitched, darker vocal style also was a drastic change from Belladona's. During the recording of the album, the band also produced the songs "Poison My Eyes" and a cover of the Smiths song "London" (both would be featured on the soundtracks to the movies Last Action Hero and Airheads, respectively).

Rolling Stone [10]
Dave Connolly reviewed the album on behalf of AllMusic and called it "surprisingly melodic" but "predictably pummeling" and the music "relentless". He commends the overall quality of the songs on the album before settling on "Only" as the best overall, but calls out several other tracks for praise as well.[6] Rock journalist Martin Popoff praised the performance of new singer John Bush and the production by Dave Jerden and defined the album's music "top-flight, state-of-the-art metal, fortified by the band's usual societal concerns, here elevated to eloquent outrage at man's crumbling morality."[7] Spin critic John Wiederhorn described the album as "a good typical heavy-metal record." Nevertheless, he also noted that the album "doesn't wander beyond the sound of its dark, moody intros and tuneful, galloping rhythms."[2] Tom Sinclair of Rolling Stone described the album as "a powerful comeback from a group that never went away."[10]
Among the album's songs, "Only" has received particular attention; Metallica frontman James Hetfield is said to have referred to "Only" as a "perfect song".[11]
Commercial performance
The album debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 charts,[12] selling 62,000 copies in its first week. It is Anthrax's highest ever chart position. It sold 40,000 more copies in its second week.[13] Sound of White Noise was certified gold by the RIAA on July 13, 1993.[14]
As of 2002, the album had sold 511,284 copies in the US.[15]
The singles "Only" and "Black Lodge" charted at No. 26 and No. 38 respectively on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.[12] In the UK, "Only" and "Black Lodge" charted at No. 36 and No. 53 respectively.[16]

Video killed the radio star
Video killed the radio star
Pictures came and broke your heart
Oh-a-a-a oh
They took the credit for your second symphony
And now I understand the problems you can see
Oh-a oh I met your children
Oh-a oh what did you tell them?
Video killed the radio star
Video killed the radio star
Pictures came and broke your heart
Oh-a-a-a oh
And now we meet in an abandoned studio
We hear the playback and it seems so long ago
And you remember the jingles used to go
Oh-a oh - You were the first one
Oh-a oh - You were the last one
Video killed the radio star
Video killed the radio star
In my mind and in my car
We can't rewind, we've gone too far
Oh-a-aho oh
Oh-a-aho oh
Video killed the radio star
Video killed the radio star
In my mind and in my car
We can't rewind, we've gone too far
Pictures came and broke your heart
Put the blame on VCR

🎶 Bitter Sweet Symphony (Extended Version) (1997) | The Verve ⧞
GenXed
🎉 SURPRISE! Here's the extended version of The Verve's Bitter Sweet Symphony to celebrate both summer & the 28th anniversary of this classic - a powerful masterpiece. 🎶 🎁
LYRICS - Bitter Sweet Symphony | The Verve
'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life
Try to make ends meet
You're a slave to money then you die
I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down
You know the one that takes you to the places
Where all the veins meet yeah,
No change, I can't change
I can't change, I can't change
But I'm here in my mold
I am here in my mold
But I'm a million different people
From one day to the next
I can't change my mold
No, no, no, no, no
Well I never pray
But tonight I'm on my knees yeah
I need to hear some sounds that recognize the pain in me, yeah
I let the melody shine, let it cleanse my mind, I feel free now
But the airways are clean and there's nobody singing to me now
No change, I can't change
I can't change, I can't change
But I'm here in my mold
I am here in my mold
And I'm a million different people
From one day to the next
I can't change my mold
No, no, no, no, no
I can't change
I can't change
'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life
Try to make ends meet
Try to find some money then you die
I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down
You know the one that takes you to the places
Where all the things meet yeah
You know I can't change, I can't change
I can't change, I can't change
But I'm here in my mold
I am here in my mold
And I'm a million different people
From one day to the next
I can't change my mold
No, no, no, no, no
I can't change my mold
No, no, no, no, no,
I can't change
Can't change my body,
No, no, no
I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down
I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down
Been down
Ever been down
Ever been down
Ever been down
Ever been down
Have you ever been down?
Have you ever been down?

Before The Dawn ~ April Wine
VeteransAgainstTreason
The Storm Hits Hard
Global Awakening: The Storm Hits Hard
Under Martial Law, the Global Military Alliance is dismantling Cabal-controlled governments worldwide. Over half a million corrupt elites are being arrested and transported to GITMO for tribunals—leading to executions.
The list of targets includes Popes Francis and Ratzinger, top figures from the Vatican, CIA, FBI, and Homeland Security, members of the British, Dutch, and Belgian royal families, both Bush presidents, the Clintons, Obamas, Biden, Jeffrey Epstein, Jeff Bezos, Pelosi, Harris, and Oprah. Numerous Hollywood figures involved in child trafficking, pedophile rings, and satanic rituals are also being brought to justice.
Recently, the Alliance executed all members of the 13 Bloodline Illuminati families. In collaboration with local law enforcement, they rescued millions of children and uncovered many deceased in underground tunnels around the globe.
As earthquakes rocked Yang Lake and floods threatened the Three Gorges Dam, a secret war raged beneath our feet. Rumors point to CIA-backed bunkers under siege by White Hats, targeting the Rothschild Dynasty and their control over US Inc. and the Biden-Harris Administration.
On Sunday, September 15, a second assassination attempt was made on President Trump, right before he was to announce a Global Currency Reset on Monday, September 16. This reset would return The People’s money from Rothschild Central Banks to The People.
“A source reveals the leak of Trump’s location came from Homeland Security, not the Secret Service. Homeland Security is passing details to the FBI, which is orchestrating the assassination attempts. The FBI’s top brass is desperate to eliminate Trump, while loyal Secret Service agents are fighting to protect him. Homeland Security and the State Department have become treasonous. If Trump is not removed soon, the State Department will initiate a war with Russia. Failure to act will see top FBI and Homeland officials fleeing or facing prosecution under Trump.” — Health Ranger, Telegram, September 15, 2024
The CIA, FBI, Homeland Security, and the Democratic Party are not only implicated in assassination attempts on Trump but are also tied to a massive child sex trafficking ring run by the Vatican. Intelligence sources reveal this ring involved thousands of children being trafficked across the US Border for high-ranking officials' pedophile networks.
White Hats are stepping in: The US Military is positioned in 360 cities and preparing to evacuate Washington DC in anticipation of a Supreme Court ruling on the Brunson Voter Fraud Case, which could dismantle our corrupt Congress and the Biden Administration.
Globally, military forces are set to activate the Emergency Broadcast System (EBS), shutting down all media, internet, phone, ATMs, radio, and TV broadcasting. Emergency services will remain active, with phones restricted to 911 calls.
The EBS will broadcast nonstop, 24/7, featuring 8-hour documentaries exposing fraud, corruption, pedophilia, and mass arrests, airing three times daily.
During this Communication Darkness, the military will provide food and support. After ten days, we will connect to a new Quantum Internet, with corrupt systems of government, education, finance, health, and commerce dismantled. Med Beds will be available for free treatments in hospitals.

Eagles ~ Learn To Be Still.....(A Full Cover By "Done Again")
Garryowen
It's just another day in paradise...
As you stumble to your bed...
You'd give anything to silence...
Those voices ringing in your head...
You thought you could find happiness...
Just over that green hill...
You thought you would be satisfied...
But you never will...
Learn to be still...
We are like sheep without a shepherd...
We don't know how to be alone...
So we wander around this desert...
And wind up following the wrong gods home...
But the flock cries out for another...
And they keep answering that bell...
And one more starry-eyed messiah...
Meets a violent farewell...
Learn to be still...
Now the flowers in your garden...
They don't smell so sweet...
Maybe you've forgotten...
The heaven lying at your feet...
There are so many contradictions...
In all these messages we send...
(We keep asking)...
How do I get out of here...
Where do I fit in?...
Though the world is torn and shaken...
Even if your heart is breaking...
It's waiting for you to awaken...
And someday you will...
Learn to be still...
You just keep on running...
Keep on running...

HEADBANGERS BALL-EP 115: “The Tompkins Chronicles: The Legend of Edgar…”
SGT ROCK'S HEADBANGERS BALL
What’s goin’ on SGT Rock Army!? Summer is comin’ round the bend and Fall’ll be here in no time. We’re kickin off August with a great memory of our time stationed in Germany. We got to talkin about the car’s we’d owned when we were stationed in the Army in the 90s. One car stood out. Edgar, Jackalope’s Volkswagen Scirocco…King of the “Triple Threat, Lord of the Schwimmbad, Landlord of the Basement, The Prince of Tompkins Barracks, just to name a few, that car to us was the car to beat. Jackalope, our BrotherfromanotherMother’s pride and joy. Edgar wasn’t the best lookin car but never judge a book by its cover. Our homie kept that ride in racing shape. When we started our run to The Basement outside of Mannheim, Edgar was the King of the Triple Crown. That car is the record holder. 37 titles. A dynasty. Going to Garmisch, Germany in the middle of the winter, no problem, Autobahn 7 never stood a chance! One thing that Edgar had in it, a killer sound system. You knew we were inbound about a quarter mile before we got there. And then…well, all good things come to an end. Jackalope done got himself married and let Edgar go to a German national. I wonder whatever happened to that car. Wherever you are Edgar, we love and miss you, man! – The Veterans of Hill 30
Did you have a car in your life that was the car everyone envied? If so, share them with us and the songs that stood out to you, brought back that one memory or memories of the good ole days, we read all comments.
Remember this SGT Rock Army, Headbangers, Rock and Rollers, Servicemembers and Veterans. “Music and Partying was the mortar that kept us all together and no one can take that from us. And now...we want to share this with you, The SGT Rock Army...enjoy the show. To our Fallen, we’ll see you on the other side, Brothers and Sisters. Til Valhall! Til Valhall! Til Valhall!”
There’s a little something for everyone from Boomers, GenX, GenZ, and GenA! We hope you dig this show as it was made with you in mind. The Metal and Rock Music fan.

Aja by Steely Dan ~ The Inner Spiritual Journey of the Kundalini to AJNA, the Third Eye
FreakSense TV
Released in 1977, Steely Dan's AJA Album stands alone in Modern Recording as a Timeless Artifact that Reveals to us our Deepest Inner Spiritual Truths, thru a Musical Platform of absolute Perfection, Divinity and Grace...
The title Track, like the entire Album, is likely the Finest Popular Music Recording Known to Mankind, as it offers for us the Pathway to God as taught by Christ Yeshua and Mary Magdalene, the Strait and Narrow Way that leads us from Temptation and Sin back towards the Strait Gate of God, that which is WITHIN us...in the Song, the 'character' of AJA, is merely an Allegory for our Sacred Spiritual Journey to the Third Eye, which in Sanskrit is known as, AJNA, the Kundalini Rising Christ Consciousness WITHIN US, to the very Doorstep of God's Mercy Seat, and once Illuminated with Light from the Pineal Gland, the Optic Thalamus, or Third Eye, becomes the Light of the World, as we are now Ready, Willing and ABEL to Commune with the Father in His Mercy Seat...
During the Song, there are three short Verses each connected to the Central Message of the Song's Brief Chorus; and yet these are extremely important Teachings as they Reveal to us that we MUST Do the Work to attain Spiritual Mastery by learning to first Still and Silence our Minds away from the Chaos of the 'Out There' World, Raising us Away from the Endless 'Dime Dancing' of Chaos that the Muggles perform Daily, as their Financial Dance with the Devil...
'Up on the hill, people never stare
They just don't care,
Chinese music under banyan trees
Here at the dude ranch above the sea,
Aja, when all my dime dancin' is through
I run to you...
Up on the hill, they've got time to burn
There's no return,
Double helix in the sky tonight
Throw out the hardware, let's do it right,
Aja, when all my dime dancin' is through
I run to you...
Up on the hill, they think I'm okay
Or so they say,
Chinese music always sets me free
Angular banjoes sound good to me,
Aja, when all my dime dancin' is through
I run to you...'
The Muggles don't SEE us, at all, and should our Paths ever cross with them, then they 'politely' tolerate us as Different, but 'OK'...for they are but Slaves to the 'Dime Dancing' which brilliantly references the Facts, Figures and Logic of the Left Brain, the Place where our False Self, the Ego, Dwells, and represents only 10%, or the DIME, of the Brain's Capacity; and THIS is where the Muggles Dwell, as we Spiritually Grow and Raise ourselves across the Great Divide and INTO the Right Hemisphere of the Brain, which houses 90% of the Brain's Capacity, and it is HERE that Christ Yeshua references in the Book of Luke, Chapter 17, Verses 20-21...
'And when Yeshua was demanded of the Pharisees, when the Kingdom of God should come, He answered them and said, The Kingdom of God cometh NOT with observation:
Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the Kingdom of God is Within You...'
Thus, Steely Dan's Aja, or as Eye like to write it, Aj(n)a, is Pure Alchemy, or Hermeticism, which represents the One Truth of God, the Way One Way that Leads Us Away from Sin and into the Path of Righteousness and thus, God Himself...and in the Song, there are Two Instrumental Sections that play upon these very Teachings, as the Music is attempting to Still and Silence itself in Perfect Bliss, like seeing a Perfect Lotus Blossom for the very first time, while the Outer Chaos of the World is attempting to Enter Within our Bliss, and Destroy it with the Chaotic Sounds of All those that worship 'Dime Dancing'...
So, as you Listen to this True Masterpiece of both Songwriting and Musical Composition, FEEL the Struggle between the Calm and the Peace that is the Basis to this Beautiful Track, with the Violent Chaos of the 'Out There' World, known as Organized Society, which doesn't want ANYONE to escape from their Loud and Sinful Clutches, and the continual attempts by the Risen Man or Wombman, to SHUT OUT the Loudness of the Out There, for the Golden Silence of our Inner World, Within us, Where God Exists, ready to Commune with us from His Mercy Seat, but only if we first Journey to the Third Room of Solomon's Temple and Activate the Door to the Right (the Pineal Gland) and become the Light of the World...
With Great Love,
CF

Pastor Clarence Sexton- The Story of Donald Trump's Bible
JUAN O SAVIN PRESENTATIONS
Pastor Clarence Sexton on the Macleod House and the Hebrides Revival on the Isle of Lewis.
A Program that will give you the SPIRIT of REVIVAL. A time in History where this was a very real presence of GOD in a place. See this again if you have already with new eyes.. the feeling of GOD ALMIGHTY and his strength when "if two or more gather in my name". And know this is right where YOU live. And if you questioned Trump he is now the Prayerful President and his leadership is hereditary. Look to our Lord to find what your MISSION FROM GOD is.. and please Pray with others and he WILL protect you. War is here. Do not waste time. This can give you so much that it might take a while to sink in. The clarion call of the HOLY SPIRIT.

The former president arrived at Aberdeen Airport at about 11:30 and was met by two pipers, a red carpet and a 10-vehicle motorcade.
He left the plane and greeted reporters as he walked to a waiting car, but did not stop to take questions.
Before getting into the vehicle, he said: "It's great to be home, this was the home of my mother."
His mother, Mary Anne MacLeod, was born on Lewis in the Outer Hebrides before emigrating to the US.
Mr Trump said a "spectacular" second course on the Menie Estate at Balmedie in Aberdeenshire would be dedicated to her.
He added: "My mother was an incredible woman who loved Scotland. She returned here every year and she loved the Queen."
He added: "I love Scotland just as much."
Mr Trump is later expected to visit the Trump Turnberry course in Ayrshire before traveling to his course in Doonbeg on Ireland's west coast.
And TODAY 7 28 2025 President Trump visits Scotland and the Macleod House with his family and grand kids. What a day!

Inner Self - Sepultura
Art, Music, Drama & Truth Seeking
"Inner Self"
Walking these dirty streets
With hate in my mind
Feeling the scorn of the world
I won't follow your rules
Blame and lies, contradictions arise
Blame and lies, contradictions arise
Nonconformity in my inner self
Only I guide my inner self
I won't change my way
It has to be this way
I live my life for myself
Forget your filthy ways
Blame and lies, contradictions arise
Blame and lies, contradictions arise
Nobody will change my way
Life betrays, but I keep going
There's no light, but there's hope
Crushing oppression, I win
Betraying and playing dirty, you think you'll win
But someday you'll fall, and I'll be waiting
Laughs of an insane man, you'll hear
Personality is my weapon against your envy
Walking these dirty streets
With hate in my mind
Feeling the scorn of the world
I won't follow your rules
Nonconformity in my inner self
Only I guide my inner self

Josie - Steely Dan
Art, Music, Drama & Truth Seeking
We're gonna break out the hats and hooters
When Josie comes home
We're gonna rev up the motor scooters
When Josie comes home to stay
We're gonna park in the street
Sleep on the beach and make it
Throw down the jam till the girls say when
Lay down the law and break it
When Josie comes home
When Josie comes home
So good
She's the pride of the neighborhood
She's the raw flame
The live wire
She prays like a Roman
With her eyes on fire
Jo would you love to scrapple
She'll never say no
Shine up the battle apple
We'll shake 'em all down tonight
We're gonna mix in the street
Strike at the stroke of midnight
Dance on the bones till the girls say when
Pick up what's left by daylight
When Josie comes home
When Josie comes home
So bad
She's the best friend we ever had
She's the raw flame
The live wire
She prays like a Roman
With her eyes on fire
When Josie comes home
So good
She's the pride of the neighborhood
She's the raw flame
The live wire
She prays like a Roman
With her eyes on fire

The Audio Files Ep. 9: America F#ck Yeah!
Badlands Media
In this patriotic edition of The Audio Files, Brad Zerbo and Jaytriot celebrate American music from every angle, mixing rock anthems, punk nostalgia, and country swagger. They kick off by belatedly marking the 4th of July with X’s “Fourth of July,” Tom Petty’s “American Girl,” and the tongue-in-cheek “United States of Whatever.” Along the way, they share stories of vinyl collections, musical awakenings, and unforgettable live shows. The episode features everything from Kim Wilde’s “Kids in America” to Kid Rock’s “American Badass” and Neil Diamond’s iconic “America.” They reflect on the patriotic surge after 9/11 and play Toby Keith’s “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue,” Lynyrd Skynyrd’s comeback hit “Red White and Blue,” and Steve Miller Band’s “Living in the USA.” Interwoven are lively anecdotes about guitars, recording studios, and the authenticity of New Yorkers. The hosts close with WASP’s fiery performance and Hendrix’s legendary Woodstock rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner, capturing the spirit, pride, and contradictions of America through music.

David Bowie was a regular contributor on bowie.com, the forum at his official website, and his final message, written just weeks before he died in 2016, contained a prophetic warning about the future of humanity.
Writing under his pen name “sailor”, Bowie revealed that “Google is Illuminati” and warned that if we allow Google to run the internet and control the flow of all information, then the elites will turn society into a “fascist dystopia.”

Cry For Me ~ Castle Rat
Art, Music, Drama & Truth Seeking
All the freaks are out again
I watched you drag them to your den
They all wake up at once and scream
So, whose mouth first you gonna feed?
Cry for me, baby
Now, cry for me, baby
What will you do when they all leave?
When all your skin's been worn and seen?
I know you came to heal their pride
Behind the veil your father's bride
Cry for me, baby
Now, cry for me, baby
I've got some feeling back
I've got some feeling back
I've got some feeling back
I've got some feeling back
Cry for me, baby
Now, cry for me, baby
I felt something crawling in the mud
I felt everything I was
All strung up in the shape of Christ
I let him move in me, so I can never die
Cry for me, baby
Now, cry for me, baby
There's a red horse pawing at the door
In the hurricane of hands that I've ignored
I split myself six thousand times
To give you each a piece, so I can never die
Cry for me, baby
Now, cry for me, baby
I've got some feeling back
I've got some feeling back

Make America Great Again, the Movie, knits a magical nexus of historical America and present day U.S.A., in such a fulfilling manner that it manifests red-hot hope and inspiration.
This movie is medicine for the conservative and Trumper, but don’t be surprised if even a leftist secretly starts feeling good after watching “Make America Great Again."
It provides a prescription to the problem America is facing via a teacher and his classroom of savvy-smart, yet humble, homeschooled kids who have no problem being a bit sassy at times. This colorful cadre must work as a team in their annual class competition that tests their knowledge of historical and present day America and the world.
What they, and their teacher, experience and share in class, is a symbiotic segue into exactly what President Trump experiences and faces in his never-ending battle to make America great again.
If the class can truly work together, in the same way America needs to work together to get their country back, they will win a very special prize.
If you love God and country, you will love this movie!

Michael Moore 🥔🪠🧠...👉Bowling for Columbine - 2002
uwe0407

Moving In Stereo The Cars
Psychological operations
Moving in Stereo Album: The Cars (1978)
by The Cars
With lead vocals by Cars bass player Benjamin Orr, this song uses various studio production techniques to explore the stereo spectrum as the sound goes back and forth between the speakers. While it was never released as a single, the song was popular on rock radio stations and known as a great one to listen to through headphones.
The song draws parallels between manipulating a stereo recording and moving through life. It's a rare song where the word "tremolo" appears, which means manipulating a single note.
This was written by Cars singer/guitarist Ric Ocasek and keyboard player Greg Hawkes. It's one of the few songs Hawkes received songwriter credit on.
This was featured in the 1982 movie Fast Times At Ridgemont High during an unforgettable erotic scene where the actress Phoebe Cates gets out a swimming pool while actor Judge Reinhold "fulfills" his fantasy. Incidentally, this song is not included on the music soundtrack available for the film.
Although not released as a single, "Moving in Stereo" received airplay on album-oriented rock radio stations in the United States, often coupled with the song "All Mixed Up" which it segues into on the album. The song continues to receive airplay on classic rock radio stations.
Donald A. Guarisco of AllMusic described the song as "one of the Cars' finest experimental tracks," noting that it "sounds like a new wave update of Eno-era Roxy Music.
An instrumental portion of "Moving in Stereo" was used prominently in the 1982 feature film Fast Times at Ridgemont High, in which it accompanies Judge Reinhold's character's fantasy of Phoebe Cates's character removing her bikini top while embracing him. Although the song was popularized in the movie, it was not included on the soundtrack album.
This song is often used to reference the famous Fast Times At Ridgemont High scene in which it appears. TV series that have paid homage to this scene and song include:
Family Guy in the 2001 episode "The Kiss Seen Round the World," when Meg fantasizes about newscaster Tom Tucker.
One Tree Hill in the 2009 episode "I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight" when Clay sees Sara getting out of his pool.
Stranger Things in the 2019 episode "Suzie, Do You Copy?" when a group of women ogle a male lifeguard at the pool. Later in the episode, Dustin says his girlfriend is like Phoebe Cates, "only hotter."
The song has also appeared in episodes of Parenthood, Scrubs, Alias and The Sopranos.
Life's the same, I'm moving in stereo
Life's the same except for my shoes
Life's the same, you're shakin' like tremolo
Life's the same, it's all inside you
It's so easy to blow up your problems
It's so easy to play up your breakdown
It's so easy to fly through a window
It's so easy to fool with the sound
It's so tough to get up
It's so tough
It's so tough to live up
It's so tough on you
Life's the same, I'm moving in stereo
Life's the same except for my shoes
Life's the same, you're shakin' like tremolo
Life's the same, it's all inside you
Life's the same, I'm moving in stereo
Life's the same except for my shoes
Life's the same, you're shakin' like tremolo
Life's the same, it's all inside you

No Quarter Led Zeppelin
Psychological operations
No Quarter Album: Houses of the Holy (1973)
by Led Zeppelin
"No Quarter" is a song by English rock band Led Zeppelin that appears on their 1973 album Houses of the Holy. It was written by John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page, and Robert Plant. The song became a centerpiece at all Led Zeppelin concerts thereafter, until their final tour. It appears in both the film versions and both live album versions of The Song Remains the Same, released in 1976 and expanded in 2007. It appeared once more in 1994 on Page and Plant's reunion album as the title track. It also appears on Led Zeppelin's 2012 live album Celebration Day, which documented their 2007 reunion performance at the O2 Arena in London. It was re-released on the deluxe edition of Houses of the Holy.
Stålenhag spoke about his motivation behind The Labyrinth, his artistic process, and what it’s like seeing his work adapted into new mediums...
"The Labyrinth is the result of the last few years of me exploring a true post-apocalyptic setting for the first time. I did a dystopian setting with The Electric State [in 2018], and I think Tales from the Loop is almost... not utopian, but it’s definitely not dystopian. So with The Labyrinth, I really wanted to do something that was post-apocalyptic because nothing else felt relevant. Going back to the styles I’ve done in the past, it didn’t feel like I could indulge that kind of fantasy. It’s a feel-good thing, and I didn’t feel very good about the world. So doing those ash-covered landscapes was the only thing that felt relevant.
I start with the visual. It comes to me like dreams almost — that sounds pretentious — but like a vision. You get a visual idea that’s worth exploring, and then I start thinking about possible stories. I’ve seen people write stories about my pictures, and that’s pretty much what I do myself. I see the picture and then try to figure out what happens here or what could happen.
While doing that, I take a lot of notes. I usually write on the iPhones Notes app. My phone is filled with them. I write an idea for a character, then I go out for a walk and realize everything I wrote is wrong. But instead of changing that note, I make a new one so I constantly keep redoing it and trying to tell the story as a little synopsis over and over. It changes each time while I’m working on the visuals, so it’s two separate processes.
There’s a sketch phase where I do quicker sketches. I spend maybe two to three hours on a sketch so I get the colors, the composition, the tone. And then I do a series of maybe 10, 20, 30 of those with the same setting, same concept, but a progression, before I select one and spend maybe three to four days on it to make a final rendering.
In The Labyrinth, there’s all these ash landscapes. I did sketches and took photos of Stockholm and did paint-overs in Photoshop of those photos. I probably had 60 or so. It was variations on the same theme, so that became one section of the book.
Then I did all the interiors, that was a totally different process. For the interior research facility, I created very accurate 3D models of all these things, like the chairs and kitchen sink and the power sockets. I wanted it to be super real, existing stuff, super familiar. I couldn’t really do sketches because so much was depending on getting measurements.
All the painting is in Photoshop these days. I use a Wacom pen with the MobileStudio Pro. For the 3D modeling, I use an architectural program called SketchUp. For my next book, I’m using a terrain simulation tool to create sand dunes and natural patterns that are mathematically calculated. That’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. Those 3D environments become a basis for a painting in Photoshop. It’s part of the job to explore new technologies to find new imagery.
I never read comic books. I wasn’t a comic book fan. When I started drawing as a kid, I was captured by paintings and naturalist painters who did very accurate renderings of birds and stuff like that. I always felt the comics I read here in Sweden were a bit sloppy. I’m just gonna shit on a whole line of work… Not that the artists were bad, but you can see they had to work fast.
I always felt like doing a graphic novel that way, where you have a lot of different panels, I couldn’t do it with the kind of accuracy I wanted in terms of getting the whole environment, the whole atmosphere, and every little detail.
To me, the environment and the mood was much more important than sequences. I also really liked poetry and stuff that has a more fragmentary dream-like quality to it. That was something that inspired me in terms of the prose. So I felt that you could probably do something with that — having these keyhole moments rendered, and having a text that is also a keyhole moment into a bigger world that you don’t get to see.
It’s almost like a short film where you get a glimpse of something bigger but you don’t spoil it by giving away too much.
Sometimes I feel like I hate my own aesthetic. I’ve seen it so much. But also, it’s so flattering to be part of an aesthetic movement and when people are influenced by my work.
It’s really a complex situation where… I always have been very personal. I can’t change that much. I try to do different things, but to do something completely different I’d have to change into a different person, and I can’t.
So I’m kind of scared that if I’m part of a trend, that trend will pass, but I won’t pass. I’m still gonna be me, and I’m getting older. I’m already thinking of those things, like I have to prepare for being irrelevant, basically, and not try to outsmart myself.
It is hard to not be affected by it, but you don’t have much of a choice when it comes to things that appeal to you.
I think most of it’s the ’80s references. I wish it was more about the personal stuff, but I think that was just good timing.
When I studied game design, one of the projects we did was create concepts for a game, and my concept was to make a game set in mid-’80s small-town America with kids on BMX bikes and the government and some alien creatures. It was very much like Stranger Things, and this was in 2008. So that was obviously something that a lot of people were thinking about. We grew up watching E.T., and everybody was nostalgic about those films and music.
There’s a weird coincidence in that it features police brutality and face masks — it has nothing to do with COVID or the protests in the US. I did it before they broke out. And that made me feel like I was afraid people might see this as a cheap exploitation of real-world events.
There are a lot of faceless enforcers of state violence. That’s a theme in The Labyrinth. While doing this, those images started pouring in from the protests in the US. When I started thinking about it, it was from protests in Spain in 2016 or 2017, I remember thinking it’s so weird that a democracy can have these thugs on the payroll to do these things.
For me, visually, that’s a crack in the facade. So I started exploring the visuals of that to design the uniforms and equipment used in the book, the scenes that featured those elements and violence. It felt really weird when I really saw stuff in the news... reality is worse than your imagination.
Ah, it’s such a broad name. There’s many Labyrinths. But it is a reason to call it Simon Stålenhag’s The Labyrinth. I always wanted that. Like John Carpenter’s The Thing. I can have my own, this is my Labyrinth. There’s a lot of labyrinths visually in this — a game this kid is playing is a labyrinth. I was aware of that legendary film, so I tried to come up with a different name. But I just felt like this is a labyrinth. It has to be The Labyrinth."

Lucky Man C'est La Vie Emerson Lake & Palmer
Psychological operations
Lucky Man Album: Emerson, Lake & Palmer (1970)
C'est La Vie Album: Works, Volume 1 (1977)
by Emerson Lake & Palmer
Greg Lake started writing "Lucky Man" when he was just 12 years old. "I was round my friend's house and he had a broken down old guitar," Lake explained on his Songs of a Lifetime tour. "In fact, it only had one string on it. Luckily, it was the bottom string. With a matchstick, I picked out this tune.
It made me think, you know, perhaps I could play guitar. So it came to Christmas and I said to my mom, 'Do you think there's any chance of me having a guitar for Christmas?' And she said, 'No.' You know, we were pretty poor. So that was it. I just accepted it.
But anyway, Christmas came, and there it was, the guitar. And of course I was thrilled. The first four chords I learned were D, A minor, E minor, and G. With these chords I wrote this little song. It's a kids' song, really. And it was a medieval fantasy, really. And I never wrote it on a piece of paper. I just remembered the words."
Arguably Emerson, Lake & Palmer's best known song, this almost did not happen. On the last day of recording their first album, ELP did not have enough material to fulfill their contract requirements of 21 minutes per album side. Greg Lake explained: "Everybody looked round the studio, you know, 'Has anybody got any more material?' And there was deadly silence. So I said, 'Well, look, you know, I've got this little thing I wrote when I was a kid. And if there's nothing else, maybe that would do.' You know.
So Keith said, 'Well, you play it, then, let's have a listen.' So I played it, and nobody liked it. So I said, 'Yeah, but you know, the thing is we've got nothing else.' Keith said, 'Well, you record it on your own and I'm going to go down the pub.' So off he went down the pub.
So Carl Palmer and I, we recorded the first part together, just drums and acoustic guitar. And it sounded pretty dreadful. But then I put a bass on it and it sounded a bit better. And then I went and put some more guitars on it, and an electric guitar solo. Then I put these harmonies on, these block harmonies. And in the end it sounded pretty good, it sounded like a record."
The guitar chords on the chorus: A minor, E minor, D, then Dsus - just play a regular D chord and add a G played on the first string, according to Greg.
The end of this song contains one of the most famous Moog synthesizer solos in rock history. Keith Emerson had just recently gotten the device, and only decided to play on this song after hearing the track Lake and Palmer came up with and realizing it was a legitimate song. "Keith came back from the pub and he heard it and was shocked," said Lake. You know, it had gone from this silly little folk song to this quite big production. And so he said, 'Wow, I suppose I'd better play on that.' And so I said, 'The thing is, I've already put the guitar solo on.' He said, 'Look, I could play something at the end.' He said, 'I've just had this gadget delivered next door. It's called a Moog synthesizer. I haven't tried it before, but maybe there's a sound on there that would work on this.' So I said, 'Okay. Why don't we give it a try.'
And so Keith went out into the next room. And he said, 'Run the track, then, for an experiment.' So I flipped it in record and pressed play. And because he was experimenting, we didn't really listen. In fact, we put the speakers on dim. The track went through and Keith experimented, and when it got to the end I turned to the engineer, Eddie Offord. I said, 'Was that me or did that sound good?' And Eddie said, 'I think it did sound good.' And we played it back. And that is the solo that's on the record."
This song does not have a happy ending. The "lucky man" has riches and acclaim, but he decides to fight for his country, gets shot, and dies. Greg Lake says that even though he wrote the song when he was very young, the story was always the same. "The lyrics never changed," he said. "But strangely enough, over time the way that people perceived the song changed. Perhaps it was vaguely something to do with the Vietnam War, that period, just at the end of the Vietnam War. Some people associated it with the John F. Kennedy assassination. It had those sort of overtones. So it was connected in a way to an era when there was a lot of war and drama like that. But the lyrics really got interpreted in a way in which I'd never intended them to be, of course, when I wrote it as a young kid." (Here's our full Greg Lake interview.)
By Emerson, Lake & Palmer standards, this is a very simple song; they got far more complex on their next albums. "Most tracks recorded by ELP, we would say that the backing track would have to be a killer instrumental before we added any voice, so the music had to stand up on its own without the lyrics," Carl Palmer said in his Songfacts interview. "A very simple lyric like 'Lucky Man' is fine - you can take that, too. But the lyrics did mature as time went by, and I think Sinfield and Lake did a great job."
Lake was part of the Mandoki Soulmates, a supergroup assembled by the drummer Leslie Mandoki. Of the many famous songs they played, Leslie says this one was the most challenging to interpret.
Works, Volume 1 was a double album with Keith Emerson the focus of the first side, Greg Lake the second, Carl Palmer the third, and the entire band sharing equally on Side 4. "C'est La Vie" was one of the songs Lake wrote for his side with help from lyricist Pete Sinfield, who was his bandmate in King Crimson. Telling the story of the song, Lake said: "I used to live in Paris for a while. A very beautiful city. I sometimes would go out walking in the streets there, and you'd often hear this instrument playing. I don't know what they call it, really, but it's one of these barrel organ things you wind up. It's the sort of sound, it's a bit like a Las Vegas casino. It kind of lives with you.
Anyway, I'd heard this barrel organ playing. And I walked on back home towards my apartment. I went past this cafe and I heard the voice of Edith Piaf, the famous French lady singer. And when I got back to the apartment I thought, I really would like to write a sort of French song with some French feeling. I don't really speak French, but I knew this phrase, 'c'est la vie,' that's life. And so I thought, That would make a good idea for a song.
So I wrote this song, "C'est la Vie," and we recorded it and put it onto Works Volume I. However, a couple of years later it was covered by a French singer called Johnny Hallyday. And he's a sort of French Elvis Presley. Anyway, he had a #1 hit with it in France, which as an Englishman, of course, gave me a great deal of pleasure."

Lunatic Fringe Red Rider
Psychological operations
Lunatic Fringe Album: As Far as Siam (1981)
by Red Rider
Guitarist Tom Cochrane wrote the song after becoming concerned about a resurgence of anti-Semitism in the 1970s, and was also inspired after reading a book about Raoul Wallenberg, who rescued Jews from The Holocaust during World War II. Some sources[example needed] have incorrectly cited the murder of John Lennon as the song's primary inspiration; Cochrane had already written the song before Lennon was killed, but recorded the song's first demo the evening of the murder. He has stated that his feelings about the event, and how it echoed the theme of his song, galvanized him to release the song as a single despite advice from the record label that the song was not commercial enough.
The song's widespread influence inspired Cincinnati's rock radio station WEBN to pay homage to it with the station's early slogan "WEBN, The Lunatic Fringe" introduced in 1984. Then in 1988, this slogan was updated to "The Lunatic Fringe Of American FM", which is still in use as of March 2023. The song was used in the opening scene of Miami Vice Episode 1.15, "Smuggler's Blues" which aired on February 1, 1985; the 1985 movie Vision Quest about a high school wrestler starring Matthew Modine; in the Season 3, Episode 1 closing credits for the HBO series Eastbound & Down; and in the Season 2, episode 6 closing credits for the Netflix series Mindhunter.
In 2009, the song was ranked No. 82 on VH1's 100 greatest one-hit wonders of the 1980s.
Lunatic fringe
I know you're out there
You're in hiding, and you hold your meetings
I can hear you coming

We're wise to you this time (wise to you this time)

Woah-uh-huh
Woah-uh-huh
Woah-uh-huh
Lunatic fringe
In the twilight's last gleaming
This is open season
But you won't get too far
'Cause you got to blame someone
For your own confusion
We're on guard this time (on guard this time)
Against your Final Solution
Oh no
Woah-uh-huh
Woah-uh-huh
Woah-uh-huh
We can hear you coming (we can hear you coming)
No, you're not going to win this time
(You're not gonna win)
We can hear the footsteps (we can hear the footsteps)
Out along the walkway (out along the walkway)
Lunatic fringe
We all know you're out there
Can you feel the resistance?
Can you feel the thunder?

Major Tom Slave To The Beat Ca Plane Pour Moi Plastic Bertrand
Psychological operations
Major Tom Album: Chat va...Et toi? (1983)
Slave to the Beat Album: Pix (1988)
Ca Plane Pour Moi Album: King of the Divan: Best of Plastic Bertrand (1977)
by Plastic Bertrand
Plastic Bertrand released a French language cover of Major Tom in 1983 from the album Chat va?...Et toi?.
"Major Tom (Coming Home)" (German: Major Tom [völlig losgelöst], 'Major Tom [completely detached]') is a new wave song written and sung by German musician Peter Schilling, released as the lead single from his album Error in the System. Featuring the story of a character unofficially related to "Major Tom", an astronaut depicted in British musician David Bowie's 1969 song "Space Oddity" and other releases, Schilling's track describes a protagonist who leaves Earth and begins drifting out into outer space as radio contact breaks off with his ground control team.
Major Tom is one of multiple singles by various artists with a pop music related style influenced by the cultural roboticism associated with Berlin, Germany. It is specifically a part of the "Neue Deutsche Welle" (NDW), a social movement in the arts within German society, and is one of its pieces that crossed over into the popular culture of other nations. Versions in both the English language and in Schilling's native German have earned critical and commercial acclaim over multiple decades.
Major Tom describes a calm, reflective astronaut known as Major Tom that's detached from the psychological stress of his colleagues, who spend a significant amount of time engaging in certain scientific experiments about which he feels uncertain. An emotional insight breaks through his senses while he happily experiences weightlessness. The protagonist then meets his ambiguous fate after losing radio contact with other human beings. One line describes the Major as realizing that "mich führt hier ein Licht durch das All" or "a light now guides me through space". He leaves Earth and begins drifting out into outer space.
Major Tom was originally recorded in the German language and released in West Germany on 3 January 1983. It reached No. 1 in West Germany as well as in both Austria and Switzerland. The English version was first released in the United States on 24 September 1983. This version reached No. 1 in Canada, No. 4 in South Africa and peaked at No. 14 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart the week of 24 December 1983. The English-language version of the song also reached No. 2 on the US Dance chart.
In retrospect, journalist Gavin Edwards of The New York Times has stated that "Major Tom" became a key part of "a brief-lived flowering of Kraut-pop in the [United] States" during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Schilling's work proved to be "a hit in its English-language version" alongside other commercial "successes". Those include Trio's "Da Da Da" and After the Fire's "Der Kommissar" (which was a cover of a release by Falco), with Nena's "99 Luftballons" crossing over the Atlantic Ocean to commercial praise even in an untranslated version.
In 1994, Schilling released a remixed version along with Boom-Bastic, titled "Major Tom 94". Other remixes were released in 2000, titled "Major Tom 2000", and in 2003, titled "Major Tom 2003".
On 24 March 2024, a petition was initiated to make "Major Tom" the new goal song for the Germany national football team for the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship. The song was used during two previous friendly matches as individual goal songs are not allowed by UEFA. During the UEFA Championship in the summer 2024, the original version of "Major Tom" re-entered the top ten of the German singles chart after more than 40 years. Schilling stated publicly that he felt emotionally overwhelmed by the support and praised his fans.
Plastic Bertrand is a Belgian recording artist and television presenter whose real name is Roger Jouret. He also takes part in Scrabble tournaments at international level.
"Ca Plane Pour Moi" roughly translates as "This Life's for Me." However it appears the lyrics have no particular meaning, just sounding vaguely "Rock 'N Roll."
Besides the original French, there is also an English version, "Jet Boy Jet Girl," by Elton Motello, which was released around the same time. Captain Sensible of the Damned also recorded this English version.
Ca Plane Pour Moi was co-written and produced by producer/songwriter Lou Deprijck. Later Deprijck took Plastic Bertrand to a Brussels court saying that he wanted to be recognized as the performing artist as well. He allegedly performed the vocals on the hit because Plastic Bertrand didn't make it to the studio the day they were recording it. However Deprijck had little evidence in support of his claim, while Bertrand had a signed contract and his name on the record-label. The judge fined him for what he described as a "groundless and vexatious" suit.
Plastic Bertrand sang "Amour Amour" for Luxembourg in the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest in 1987 but only gained second-last place. The Final was held in his home country of Belgium.
In a 2010 interview with Belgian newspaper Le Soir, Roger Jouret finally admitted that Lou Deprijck performed the song's vocals. "I don't mind saying it wasn't my voice," he said. "I wanted to sing but he wouldn't let me into the studio."
Bertrand added that Deprijck had asked him to "keep his mouth shut in exchange for 0.5% of the royalties, promising that he'd let me use my voice on another version, which, of course, he never did." He went on to say: "I'm the victim. I wanted to sing but he wouldn't let me into the studio. This is going to dog me till my dying days. I'm really fed up."
Jouret's admission came a day after a linguist commissioned by a judge during a long-standing legal saga concerning whose vocals appear on the track, concluded that the Brussels-born Jouret's accent did not match the distinctive twang on the record.
The song was used in these movies:
A Futile and Stupid Gesture (2018)
We'll Never Have Paris (2014)
The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)
Ruby Sparks (2012)
127 Hours (2010)
EuroTrip (2004)
Me Myself I (1999)
National Lampoon's European Vacation (1995)
And these TV shows:
Gold Diggers "The Baron And The Nun" – 2023)
Ozark ("Ace Deuce" – 2022)
Hitmen ("Birthday" - 2020)
Wimbledon (Day 4, Part 1" – 2017)
Imposters (Frog-Bikini-Eiffel Tower" – 2017)
What's New, Scooby-Doo? ("Ready to Scare" 2005)
Fastlane ("Wet" - 2002)
The Lone Gunmen ("Eine Kleine Frohike" - 2001)
The Swedish singer and former rapper Leila K covered "Ça Plane Pour Moi" in 1993. Released as a single, it reached the Top 20 in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, and Switzerland. Other artists that have covered the song include Sonic Youth and Presidents Of The United States of America.
Major Tom
"You are the king of the divan!"
Qu'elle me dit en passant (hou-hou-oou-oou!)
I am the king of the divan
Ça plane pour moi
Ça plane pour moi
Ça plane pour moi, moi, moi, moi, moi, ça plane pour moi
(Hou-hou-oou-oou!) ça plane pour moi
Allez hop! T'occupe, t'inquiète, touche pas ma planète
It's not today que le ciel me tombera sur la tête
Et que l'alcool me manquera
(Hou-hou-oou-oou!)
Ça plane pour moi
Allez hop ma nana s'est tirée, s'est barrée
Enfin c'est marre, a tout cassé, l'évier, le bar me laissant seul
Comme un grand connard
(Hou-hou-oou-oou!)
Le pied dans l'plat
Ça plane pour moi
Ça plane pour moi
Ça plane pour moi, moi, moi, moi, moi, ça plane pour moi
(Hou-hou-oou-oou!) ça plane pour moi
Ça plane pour moi
Ça plane pour moi
Ça plane pour moi, moi, moi, moi, moi, ça plane pour moi

Legends in our Time- President TRUMP Day One GOD WINS!- American Prophet 2022
JUAN O SAVIN PRESENTATIONS
Short presentation by American Prophet brings forward that President Trump DAY ONE came forward to STOP HUMAN TRAFFICKING. Perhaps, several Legends that are perhaps not so "gone" as everyone thinks. Diana, Michael Jackson, the dream of a new world without the horrors of the Deep State. Epstein is back in the news lately as his Report is forthcoming within days.
Plus an interview with Diana that was seldom seen. The Royals controlled every aspect of this operation. And in OUR Country. The "Brits" still have a Monarchy foreign to our concept of Liberty. Trump has been invited to the Parliamentary opening in Canada with King Charles to attend during a two-day tour from May 26 to May 27. He will be the first British monarch to give the speech from the throne in the country's legislature. The invitation to the State Opening of Parliament was in fact a deliberate one with Trump in mind, Carney told Sky: "All issues around Canada's sovereignty have been accentuated by the president. So no, it's not coincidental, but it is also a reaffirming moment for Canadians."
Is the MSM in control? The Q Team always said GOD WINS! With this significant Drop near Memorial Day this year. https://t.me/rrm_mcafee_decodes/3350
Q Drop 4461 FIVE YEAR DELTA Memorial Day 2025? This time God WINS!

Q !!Hs1Jq13jV6 ID: c7e053 No. 9599384
Only when evil is forced into the light can we defeat it.
Only when they can no longer operate in the [shadows] can people see the truth for themselves.
Only when people see the truth [for themselves] will people understand the true nature of their deception.
Seeing is Believing.
Sometimes you can't tell the public the truth.
YOU MUST SHOW THEM.
ONLY THEN WILL PEOPLE FIND THE WILL TO CHANGE.
It had to be this way.
This is not another 4-year election.
GOD WINS.

Television - Foxhole = Live Music Video OGWT 1978 (78014)
Last Century Music Videos
At that time many punk bands came from the United Kingdom.
And then you had Verlaine, Lloyd, Smith and Ficca from New York with their own advanced nonconformist ideological sound. You may not find Foxhole that punky at all, but this is what punk stands for.
Television was a catalyst for punk and new wave style music in New York back in the seventies, that's for sure. But when it comes to punk, who is number one for you?
163
Blondie - Denis = Early Live Music Video Performance Musikladen 1978 (78002)
Last Century Music Videos
Blondie was a bunch of top musicians. Chris, Clem, Jimmy, Frank, Nigel and of course Debbie singing:
"Your my dream and I'm in heaven
Every time I look at you
When you smile it's like a dream
And I'm so lucky 'cause I found a girl like you"
Denise is actually a song by Randy & The Rainbows from 1963 and for Blondie this was the song that made them famous in one go. What are your favorite 'new wave' bands from the late seventies?

Chris from Old World Exploration has spent years analyzing the architecture and stories that show many of the structures that we see every day are MUCH older and more important than the standard narrative would have us believe.

This Young Men’s Christian Association gospel became a standard that will stay forever. They are Ray Simpson (policeman), Randy Jones (cowboy), David Hodo (construction worker), Felipe Rose (Native 'Lakota Sioux' American), Glenn Hughes (leatherman) and Alexander Briley (sailor).
Props for whoever arranged the horns and strings. Are there others songs from 1978 that make you get up and dance?
179
Vanilla Fudge - Eleanor Rigby (RO#) = Never Before Seen Music Video 1969 (69021)
Last Century Music Videos
All the lonely people would be a fitting title for this song. Paul McCartney and John Lennon decided on Eleanor Rigby and this alone took the song to another dimension. This song is for all the lonely people today.
"Writing the words of a sermon that no one will hear"
Vanilla Fudge and their version of this sixties song make you feel the meaning of the lyrics even better. When love is gone, death and loneliness remain. Eleanor Rigby is the archetype for many forgotten lonely people and this song emphasizes it like no other.
"Ah, look at all the lonely people
All the lonely people / Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people / Where do they all belong?"
Everyone can feel alone from time to time. Everyone will experience loneliness differently. When you feel alone, what song gets you through the day?
__________________________
!!! Rumble Only Number
If you notice (RO#) in the song title, then you should know that you have never seen or come across this music video (or bits of it) on any platform other than now on Rumble. This on screen piece of music from the sixties - to the best of my knowledge - is new to the world.

The key question is, what are you going to change?
182
Feathers feat. David Bowie - Ching A Ling = Music Video 1969 (69023)

Just exactly what my freedom means to me"

184
The Nice - Hang On To A Dream = Beat Club Performance 1969 (69014)
Last Century Music Videos
So many songs that are about love and bittersweet symphonies.
"How can we hang on to a dream
How can it ever be the way it seems"
Symphony is the right word. One would play this music video three times only to listen to the drums, bass and keys in sequence. And then one more time to inhale all instruments and vocals together at once.
Originally written and sung by Tim Hardin in 1966. Which music masterpiece do you remember from back then?
185
Soft Machine - Moon In June = Live On Stage Bilzen 1969 (69012)
Last Century Music Videos
This song awakens the moon goddess in me.
"The sun shines here all summer
Its nice cause you can get quite brown

Everybody is part of the soft machine. What does this song do to you?
186
Omega - Gyongyhaju Lany = Music Video 1969 Great Song (69010)

Walk ten thousand steps and meet the girl with pearly hair. Gyöngyhajú Lány" is song by the Hungarian rock band Omega.
"Pearl hair has been around for a long time
He reached a deep sea
Yes, a pearly-haired girl lives

Close your eyes starting at 2:52 and listen to that ethereal sounding guitar. Which nostalgic sound from the past plays in your head?

Last Century Music Videos
Get out of that spooky town. I think this is a must have record for the older youngsters. Mike Harrison singing "That Was Only Yesterday".
"Guess I'll have to get out of this town
No sense in my waiting around
Only thing left for me here is pain
She's gone for sure now why pretend
Left last night with a friend
Leaving not a word that would explain"
What song's in your head right now?

The Yardbirds - For Your Love = Rare Oldies Music Video 1965 (UK) (69007)

The most professional video and sound ever. At least you hear the strings of the harpsichord. Did you know that this song was written by 10CC's Graham Gouldman who was playing with the Mockingbirds at the time?
Besides Jeff Beck (1944-2023), what other guitar legends started their careers with The Yardbirds?

Whatcha Gonna Do ~ Chilliwack
Art, Music, Drama & Truth Seeking
Opus X is the tenth album (hence the "X") by the Canadian rock band Chilliwack, released in October 1982. Producers Bill Henderson and Brian MacLeod received the Juno Award for "Producer of the Year" for their work on the songs "Whatcha Gonna Do" and "Secret Information" from this album. The precedent Chilliwack album Wanna Be a Star had provided the group with its first two U.S. Top 40 hits: Opus X almost continued that success with its lead single: "Whatcha Gonna Do (When I'm Gone)", rising to #41 on the Billboard Hot 100, #32 on Cash Box and #9 in Canada. In January 1983, "Opus X" was certified Platinum (in excess of 100,000 copies sold) in Canada.
Despite the success of this album, MacLeod and Bryant quit Chilliwack to play full-time with their group The Headpins just after the Juno Awards.

Mildred Pierce ~ Sonic Youth
Art, Music, Drama & Truth Seeking
From the album: Goo
First Known Performance: 08/16/90
Last Known Performance: 04/23/01
NOTES:
Working title: "Blow Job?"
One of the first songs Sonic Youth ever wrote. In fact, it's in standard tuning. Lee mentions it in a 1984 Forced Exposure interview: "We've got other songs, like 'Mildred Pierce,' that could be strictly commercial."
Thurston's scream on the LP version is actually lifted directly from the original demo (released on the "Goo Demos" CD).
Name taken from the Joan Crawford film "Mildred Pierce".
Performed live in August 1990 specifically for the Dave Markey directed video. Sophia Coppola also appears.
Ignored for the next 11 years, Mildred Pierce randomly made its third known appearance on 4/23/01.
The demo version, "Blow Job?", is over 8 minutes long.
On the Corporate Ghost DVD commentary, Dave Markey talks about a one-off band he threw together with Thurston to do covers, and one of the songs Thurston suggested was a very early Sonic Youth tune called "Mildred Pierce", and that they did play it live. Following this, Sonic Youth brought the song back for the Goo sessions.
