IS THIS OUR FALL? (STOPTHEWAR)

I was walking and talking to myself,
Thinking that life sometimes seems upon a shelf,
Yeah, I was a wondering while I was a wandering down the road,
How it all seems so strange,
All the lies we’ve been told.

What is the story, the story of my life?
What is all this useless fighting? What is all this strife?
Why do we pour so much of our resources into the machinery of war?
Tell me, what is it all about? What’s it all for?

I just don’t understand how this can be,
That we’d risk everything,
Why can’t we see?
That the madness of war is but the death of us all,
Is this really the end? Is this our Fall?
