The dynamic between different groups of Jews is multifaceted, encompassing religious, cultural, and political dimensions, with varying degrees of tension and interaction. It's a complex interplay between shared heritage and diverse interpretations of Jewish identity, practices, and engagement with the broader world.
Here's a breakdown of the key aspects:
1. Religious Diversity:
Orthodox Judaism: Subdivided into Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) and Modern Orthodox, with differing levels of engagement with secular society.
Conservative Judaism: A more traditionalist approach than Reform, but less strict than Orthodox.
Reform Judaism: Emphasizes adapting Jewish law and tradition to modern times.
Are we to become Unified through Peace or admit defeat to the great evil Satan that wants us divided?

Secular Jews: Identify with Jewish culture and heritage but may not observe religious practices.
2. Cultural and Ethnic Divisions:
Ashkenazi and Sephardic Jews: Major ancestral groups with distinct histories and traditions.
Other smaller groups: Include Mizrahi Jews, Ethiopian Jews, Indian Jews, and others, each with unique cultural and historical backgrounds.
Instead, in 1947, the United Nations General Assembly adopted Resolution 181 (II), known as the Partition Plan for Palestine. This plan proposed the partition of Mandatory Palestine into independent Arab and Jewish states, with Jerusalem envisioned as a corpus separatum (separate body) under a special international regime administered by the United Nations, due to its religious significance for Jews, Christians, and Muslims. The state of Israel was declared on May 14, 1948, following the end of the British Mandate.
