On March 13, 2010, Manny Pacquiao faced Joshua Clottey in a highly anticipated welterweight showdown dubbed “The Event,” held at the newly opened Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Despite that, the fight was a major commercial success. It generated around 700,000 pay-per-view buys and over $35 million in revenue.
