Treated Like Cattle: A Harrowing Insight into Childbirth

Obstetrical staff is conditioned to women having that baseline injection of an epidural that numbs them out and therefore they are somehow OK with implementing procedures that would be horribly painful as it was for Lara WITHOUT EVEN ASKING FOR CONSENT…Assuming that performing the procedure was just going to be OK.

Not only that, but the doctor totally left it out of her patient notes.

Thankfully Lara’s doula caught this all on video! There is NO DENYING this happened to Lara and no denying that it went against her very carefully laid out birth plan detailing the importance of consent for her due to past sexual violence that had been inflicted upon her.
