A Promise Is a Promise – II Pet. 3:1-9

We Christians often talk about the rapture of the Church (the Bible refers to it as 'meeting Jesus in the air') and the second coming of Christ. We talk about these things because we know they are real, genuine events promised by God at some point in the future. The Church has been waiting 2,000+ years.

Unfortunately, man's understanding of time is limited to his own lifespan. So it's easy to approach the promises of the rapture and the second coming with skepticism. It has been so long since Jesus left and we are still waiting. So maybe we've missed something in our understanding; maybe he isn't literally coming back. Right? Wrong! A promise is a promise. And God does not break his promises.
