How to Identify Juvenile Robins (Baby Robins) in Your Garden

Fluffy, Speckled Brown Plumage: Young robins look soft and fluffy, with brown, spotty feathers all over.

No Red Breast Yet: Unlike adults, juvenile robins don’t have the famous red or orange chest. So don’t be fooled!

Compact, Rounded Shape: They’re plump, with short tails and thin legs, making them easy to spot among UK garden birds.

Tip: Juvenile robins are often mistaken for sparrows because of their brown colouring, but look for those speckles (and their curious, friendly behaviour!)
