Churchill Crocodile Unleashed: The Flamethrower Beast of WWII

Churchill "Crocodile" tank, belonging to one of the 141st (The Buffs) RAC's tank squadrons, demonstrates the terrifying effectiveness of its flame-thrower in the countryside around Bretteville-sur-Odon.

The Crocodile saw widespread service during the Allied advance through Italy and North-West Europe.

One can imagine the dread felt by the Germans who were being stared down by the flaming nozzle of the Crocodile. This flamethrower was so feared, that Crocodile crew members were often executed on sight when captured by the Germans.
