Seven Deadlies - Pride

Pride is often viewed as the most serious. It is described as an excessive love of one's own excellence, leading to a lack of humility and disregard for God's authority. And yet, we are given Pride Month! It is suggested that pride is at the root of the other six. It was Satan's downfall and the first sin of mankind. Thus the saying, "Pride goeth before the fall."
