Rumpelstiltskin 🔷 1996

Rumpelstiltskin tells the story of a recently widowed woman, Shelly, who buys a seemingly ordinary jade figurine from an antique shop. Unbeknownst to her, the figurine contains the demonic Rumpelstiltskin, who was imprisoned within it centuries earlier.
Synopsis:
Shelly, still grieving the loss of her police officer husband, is drawn to the figurine. She makes a wish to have her husband back, and Rumpelstiltskin, freed by her wish, appears. He grants her wish, but only for one night. When Rumpelstiltskin tries to claim Shelly's baby as payment for the wish, as he is wont to do, Shelly must figure out how to stop him before he steals her child's soul.
The film blends elements of the classic fairy tale with modern horror tropes, adding a supernatural twist to the familiar story of Rumpelstiltskin's desire for a child's soul. The film stars Kim Johnston Ulrich as Shelly and Max Grodénchik as Rumpelstiltskin. It was directed by Mark Jones.
