Flat Earthers love to say the Sun is small and local—so I set out to test that myself. I recorded the Sun’s size at two different times to see if it shrinks as it moves away.

If the Sun were local and just a few thousand miles up, its size should change dramatically throughout the day. But what I found? It doesn’t. At all.

The result surprised even me.
