Gameplay Part 4 (Finale)

Experience survival horror like never before in the 8th major installment in the Resident Evil franchise - Resident Evil Village. With detailed graphics, intense first-person action and masterful storytelling, the terror has never felt more realistic.

Set a few years after the horrifying events in the critically acclaimed Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, the all-new storyline begins with Ethan Winters and his wife Mia living peacefully in a new location, free from their past nightmares. Just as they are building their new life together, tragedy befalls them once again.

In this playthrough we cover:

Heisenberg’s Factory (Escape):
Ethan plunges into the mechanical hellscape of Heisenberg’s Factory, a maze of rusted steel, conveyor belts, and grotesque biomechanical horrors. The factory is Heisenberg’s domain—a production line of death where Lycans and abominations are fused with scrap metal to form monstrous Soldats, all designed to serve his rebellion against Mother Miranda. As Ethan fights his way through the maze, he upgrades his weapons and confronts increasingly dangerous variations of Soldats, including the terrifying Soldat Jet and Soldat Panzer units.

Ethan eventually reconnects with Chris Redfield, who explains the truth: Mia was never rescued—Mother Miranda had impersonated her all along, abducting the real Mia and Rose. Chris reveals he’s been working to track and eliminate Miranda’s network. While Chris plants explosives to destroy the factory, Ethan continues deeper until he finally faces Heisenberg, who fuses his body with machinery to become a towering monster. The two battle in an all-out war of firepower, with Ethan piloting a custom tank created by Chris. After a brutal fight, Ethan destroys Heisenberg.

But before Ethan can recover, Mother Miranda appears and kills him—ripping out his heart as she claims the final piece of Rose for her dark ritual. Everything fades to black.

Finale: Village’s End:
The perspective shifts to Chris Redfield, who leads an elite Hound Wolf Squad to storm the village and eliminate Miranda. The area is now overrun with Lycans and twisted creatures as the Megamycete, the source of the Cadou mold, pulses beneath the earth. Chris plants charges around its core while rescuing the real Mia, who reveals a devastating truth: Ethan is not an ordinary man—he died in Dulvey, years ago. He’s been kept alive all this time by the Mold.

Miraculously, Ethan awakens—his body failing but his resolve stronger than ever. Guided by the spirit of Eveline, he accepts the truth of his Mold-infused existence. Using Duke’s carriage, Ethan returns to the Ceremony Site, where Mother Miranda is performing her ritual to revive her deceased daughter, Eva, using Rose’s fragmented body.
Ethan confronts Miranda in a final boss fight filled with shifting forms, grotesque mutations, and dark magic. Though his body is deteriorating, he defeats her—saving Rose and bringing an end to Miranda’s centuries-long obsession.

Knowing he can no longer survive, Ethan hands Rose to Chris and sacrifices himself to detonate the charges Chris placed beneath the Megamycete, destroying the fungal heart and Miranda’s entire legacy. As the explosion engulfs the village, Chris and Mia escape via helicopter—holding baby Rose and mourning Ethan’s final act of heroism.

Post-Credit Scene:
Years later, a teenage Rose Winters is seen visiting her father’s grave. Working for an unknown government agency, she exhibits unusual powers as a result of her origins. A suited agent refers to her as "Eveline," prompting a threatening response from Rose, who claims she's more powerful than even they know. As the car drives off into the distance, a mysterious figure can be seen walking down the road...suggesting Ethan’s story may not be entirely over.
