Federal ICE agents are engaged in a volatile standoff with anti-ICE protesters during a large-scale immigration raid at Glass House Farms, a major cannabis operation in Ventura County, California! 🚨👀🚨

The operation, targeting alleged illegal labor practices, quickly escalated when demonstrators arrived to disrupt the arrests. Protesters clashed with federal agents, blocking roads and vehicles while shouting and attempting to interfere with detentions. In response, agents deployed multiple smoke canisters to disperse the crowd, triggering scenes of chaos and panic. While the exact number of detained individuals remains unclear, the situation continues to intensify as more demonstrators converge on the area.

The FBI announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a protester who was caught on video shooting at ICE agents during the unrest.

According to federal officials, one of the raid’s primary objectives was the rescue of unaccompanied minors who were allegedly being exploited for child labor on the farm.

Once again, misinformed protesters—believing they are defending marginalized communities—are in fact rallying in support of a corporate, public company, cannabis giant currently under federal scrutiny for serious labor violations.

Glass House Brands, operates over five million square feet of greenhouse space, making it the largest legal cannabis producer in California. Its massive footprint and aggressive pricing have earned it the nickname “the Walmart of weed,” with critics blaming it for driving small cannabis farms out of business.

A class-action lawsuit filed on February 20, 2024—Melendez v. Glass House Camarillo Cultivation LLC et al—accuses the company of multiple violations of California labor law. The suit alleges unpaid wages, denied breaks, unreimbursed expenses, and unsafe working conditions linked to excessive trimming quotas.

In light of the growing legal and public pressure, Glass House Farms has been temporarily shut down until further notice.
