Make Sure Your Financial Goals are Your Own

This one is all about the comparisons and you need to make them stop when it comes to your financial goals. It is easy for you to be on the outside, looking around at what other people are doing and feel like it is something that you should be doing as well. When you see your neighbors taking nice vacations and driving the best cars, it is easy to feel like those are some of the things that you need to do as well. If you fit them into your financial goals, then go ahead and have some fun. But if they don’t fit there, then the comparison game needs to stop.

When we decide to compare ourselves to those around us, we end up playing a game that we can never win. This is why you need to set financial goals that are going to make the most sense for you. Some of the things that people around you do will make no sense and you will know right away that they are not right for you. but you need to pick your own financial goals and then be clear on why you have chosen those goals.
