Navy Medics Teach Filipino Marines Combat Care in the Philippines
ACDC 2024: U.S. Navy Teaches Tactical Combat Casualty Care to Philippine Marines
U.S. Navy Sailors with the Shock Trauma Section, 1st Medical Battalion conduct Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) training for Philippine Marines from the 1st Marine Brigade in Barira, Philippines, during Archipelagic Coastal Defense Continuum (ACDC) on May 14, 2024.
TCCC equips non-medical personnel with lifesaving medical skills to increase survival rates on the battlefield—especially in situations where a corpsman is not immediately available. The training fosters critical combat readiness and reinforces bilateral cooperation in support of the Philippine Marine Corps’ evolving Coastal Defense strategy and modernization efforts.
