New England Air Guard Civil Engineers Train at Fort Devens – Prime BEEF FTX 2024

Multi-capable Airmen from the Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island Air National Guard wings conducted a rigorous regional field training exercise at Fort Devens, Massachusetts, from May 11–17, 2024.

As part of the Prime BEEF (Base Engineer Emergency Force) program, civil engineers honed essential wartime and contingency skills including CBRN response, explosive ordnance disposal, defensive fighting positions, expedient construction, and base defense operations. The training ensures these Airmen are rapidly deployable and mission-ready to support aircraft, personnel, and infrastructure in any environment.
