The Reason That CCP Wants to Take Taiwan Is That Taiwan Is a Threat to Their Legitimacy

07/10/2025 Taiwan Rep. To U.S. Alexander Yui on Bannon’s War Room: Taiwan is a fully democratic society now. But that's one of the main reasons that the People's Republic of China wants to take Taiwan, because we are a threat to their legitimacy as government. The CCP is trying in many ways to strangle Taiwan, and militarily that's just one of the ways, but there are many other ways, like coercion, infiltration, etc.
